Royal Oak Pub ★★★
"The Royal Oak is in an ideal location at the heart of beautiful Cartmel, we had a comfy and clean room (RHYD), however, bizarrely no TV. Be aware, breakfast is served across the road at ‘Coffee and Stays’, and whilst it was very nice, if limited, the Royal Oak has a financial arrangement with this place that allows one cup of tea/coffee per person and one slice of toast, any more and you have to pay for it !. In all my years of travelling and staying in Hotels & B&B’s, I have never experienced this before, I feel this is totally unacceptable. Will not be returning to the Royal Oak, whilst this practice continues."
The Pheasant Inn ★★★
"Our third visit to the Pheasant Inn, same as last visits the family and staff all make you so welcome, the rooms are spotless and with everything you need for a comfortable stay, breakfasts are excellent and the morning staff greet you with a smile, we ate in the restaurant every night and could not fault the food and again family and staff were cheery and welcoming. Ideally situated for surrounding coastline and the Lake District, Cartmel and Grange lovely places to visit. Already planning a return visit"
Thurnham Hall ★★★★
"Absolutely fabulous weekend break set in beautiful surroundings, peaceful and we loved the wildlife. The staff were friendly and very informative and available for anything we needed. The food was lovely and everything very reasonably priced. We will definitely be booking another stay."
Grange Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel was built in 1866. There is a train station in front of the hotel and it faces the Atlantic Ocean. It is located at the southernmost tip of the lake area. The hotel has a sauna and hot spring pool, which is a place for locals to relax and is suitable for vacation!"
GO2 Lancaster Centre Hotel by OYO
"Good clean and simple rooms"
Pine Lake Resort ★★★★
"Great place to chill out or use there facilities pool sauna steam room and gymnasium. Also close enough to the lakes or Morecambe for days out. The Lodge we were staying in had every thing you would require even a dishwasher and washing machine."
