Carnmore Hotel Lower Hutt
"Wonderful friendly staff. Great location to shopping mall and places to eat. Wonderful to see that The Angus hotel is being updated. Our room was very nice. Would definitely stay here again. Was an easy drive to Lower Hutt Hospital but also there was nearby busses which took you right outside the hospital. Loved the parrot - Pickles!!"

"Nice enough park inside, but it's in an industrial area and pricing is rather ridiculous"

"I called them to confirm my booking as my ferry crossing was delayed. I was told there was no booking made for me and they had no spare rooms so she couldn’t help me then hun g up.Completely unsatisfactory and I want a full refund from you. Useless accomodation app and useless motel management. Made for a hugely stressful night for me. Absolute rubbish experience all round!"

Ava Lodge
"August 2023 - One night stay for Fifa 23 and then next day Interislander ferry. Exceeded expectations. Lodge was very easy to find. Room was large, full kitchen with seating, small but efficient bath with shower and separate tub, balcony with seating, secure keycard entry, and plenty of free parking. We were just looking for an overnight stay, next time in New Zealand will stay longer. Nice little suburb of Wellington, walking distance to restaurants, beach, and shops. Drive to ferry port was 15 minutes on Saturday morning and easy 'straight shot' into city of Wellington. Lodge provided plenty of local info and had very nice bath and kitchen self -catering amenities, and was very clean and well maintained. The area was residential, so there was very little street noise at night. Very comfortable stay and pleased to recommend the Ava Lodge. "
Quest Petone
"Great for a short stay before heading overseas, will definitely stay again. Clean and compact."
Fernhill Motor Lodge
"This is still a very good option for those like us needing close proximity to the ferry. It was clean (apart from the glassware needing re-washing) and everything worked as it should. Unfortunately, the pricing has increased quite a lot since our last stay and was the most expensive of all the places we stayed at in the North Island over the 3 weeks. Still, we'll probably stay again."
