We stayed in the suite and had perfect weather to sit out on the balcony, enjoying the sun. The room was perfect! Immaculate, lots of room and comfy bed. The staff were all very friendly and it contributes to a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. The only point that was disappointing was the limited parking.

What a fantastic stay at the Crusoe. It was all wonderful- thank you. The room was cozy and well appointed - we appreciated the lovely smelling toiletries- and there can be nothing more magical than hearing the waves lapping below your window and seeing the glorious views. The last time we stayed the first floor restaurant was just being done up, the owners have done a great job with it, and also in creating a delightful wee gin and whisky bar on the first floor too, stocked with a wide range of unusual gins. The staff were all lovely and helpful. Genuine smiles, I bet they all love working there! The food was great too, surely nothing can beat their haddock but the haggis balls came close! Good choice of quality and well priced cocktails and wines too. They have a sister hotel called the Ship Inn which is equally special. It’s going to be hard to choose which one to visit next time, which will hopefully be soon!

Loved the location, view and facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of parking (although we did stay at a quiet time), and lots of choice for breakfast. Also had evening meal, good choice and attentive staff. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here while completing a couple of stages of the East Fife Coastal Route We loved the seafront location & amazing views, room was clean, cosy and comfortable looking out to the sea. Lots of different areas to sit and enjoy a drink, especially the little whiskey and gin bar. We ate in the restaurant and the service and food were excellent. What sets this hotel apart are the wonderful staff & personal touches from booking into reception & throughout our stay, loved the welcome on our door and in the room. And all this at a very reasonable cost, we will definitely be back !

A beautiful room with a beautiful view! Wonderful food in the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) and good beer on the bar! Perfect! Friendly but professional staff for whom nothing seemed to be too much trouble… We'll definitely be back and have already recommended The Crusoe to friends.

Booked Sunday dinner for a small family gathering. There were twelve of us, and we were given a private dining room, which was perfect, having a lively two year old and a labrador with us. The food was good, although the vegan option could probably be improved upon. The service however, was excellent, very friendly and attentive, they made us feel very welcome. Having spent all my childhood holidays in Lower Largo, it's lovely to return now and again and have a welcoming place to eat.

This hotel is so close to the sea it's almost in it. The view from the room was magnificent, the vast expanse of sandy beach literally on the doorstep. The town of Lower Largo is picture postcard lovely and has a very peaceful, calm ambience. The hotel staff are all so nice and the rooms, though quite small, are cosy, warm, clean and comfortable with little extra touches like teacakes and lovely bathroom toiletries. And that view, just incredible. The breakfasts are fabulous, though the evening dinners are on the pricey side and maybe not quite as good as they could have been. This in no way would deter us from going back, which we intend to do in the very near future. A beach lovers dream in an idyllic wee town. Wonderful.

I love the Crusoe. The staff are lovely, and so welcoming from the minute you arrive till you leave. Lovely wee personal touches of a blackboard outside our room with our names on, and a postcard welcoming us. Stunning views of the bay from our bedroom window, with the sound of the waves lapping right up to the window. Would never tire of that. The room and the hotel are beautifully decorated with nautical touches, and references to Robinson Crusoe & Alexander Selkirk throughout, and a well read copy of Daniel Defoe's book on our bedside table. The beds are so comfy, and the room spotlessly clean. Well stocked with lovely complimentary biscuits, teas, coffee pots and a nespresso machine. Food at dinner and breakfast was delicious. Restaurant staff are lovely, welcoming and super attentive. The wee cosy gin & whiskey bar is a gem. We'd previously had dinner at the Crusoe but this was our first stay, and definitely won't be our last. Can't wait to come back.
