Villa Alounsavath Mekong Riverside

It was a pleasant stay, in the double room on the 3rd floor. Has a bit of a covered terrace that was nice to watch the rain in the evening. My room did not have much of a view of the Mekong River but I didn't mind. The front desk was quite helpful, although the person there did not speak that well English. At the front desk they offer laundering and drying for a 60.000 kip/kg fee.

I had a great time at this elegant, yet affordable guest house. Room #1 was perfect for me with a balcony view of the Mekong River and for people watching during the Lao New Year in mid-April. The bed was comfy, the wifi worked very well, and the hot water worked, but needed a little time to heat up. The breakfast just a hop, skip and jump away on the riverbank side was divine, and the manager was charming.The service at the front desk of the guest house was also very friendly and at one point a lifesaver, meaning my online tour operator (a different company) did not show up for my elephant excursion, but Jamho, a staff member solved that problem with an even better elephant excursion with elephant riding! I loved it, and was more reasonably priced than the other company. This guest house is highly recommended!

The location is very good and the room amenities excellent. The breakfast is ok and served in front of the hotel, with a view on the river.

So happy with our visit. We were delayed by a day due to no train going and they kindly held our room. The hotel is in a great location close to markets and Watt. I would highly recommend and week definetly be back

It's a generally clean house. Breakfast is a buffet with bread and rice at a restaurant along the Mekong River with a nice view outside the hotel.

Hotel located along the Mekong riverside. Breakfast is average. Staff "Duo" is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and speak English well. High speed train ticket can be booked here. Shuttle bus to Luang Prabang train station is available at cheaper rate. Watching Alm-giving is nearby at 6am every morning. I will come back to this hotel again in future..

Just at Mekong river it's a nice hotel and you can reach everything easily in the old quarter. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are big and clean.

Toilet flooded after shower as the majority of the hotel in Laos. Personal useless because practically do not speak almost a word of English. Room invaded my small insects. Toilet and all the room invaded by odor of dichlorobenzene that is toxic and was used in large amount
