I enjoyed my stay at Villa Wanika. The staff are friendly and helpful, my room was clean and comfortable. The villa is located in the city just a stone throw from the night market. I truly enjoyed there that I booked an additional two nights.

disappointing stay to begin, we entered our room and there was a huge spider in our room so we had to move room, both rooms we were in were very very dirty, our socks ended up black from just simply walking on the floor. The room was super dusty and just simply unclean, I forgot to get a picture but from the one of the cockroach you can see that it’s not clean. We had visits from cockroaches, one during the day then again later on, then another one during the night. The “breakfast” was croissants, there was a basket in reception with them, when we opened the basket the croissants were absolutely covered with ants, all over the basket and over the food, it was disgusting.

Laos 🇱🇦 Luang Prabang - Villa Wanika (📍)Location: A 12-minute walk (750m) to Mount Phousi, 14 minutes (850m) to Wat Xieng Thong, 10 minutes (650m) to the Royal Palace. The morning and night markets are also about 12 minutes away, so the location is very central. There are restaurants and supermarkets nearby. (🛀)Facilities: Shower gel and shampoo are provided, along with slippers, a private bathroom, a small fridge, and an electric kettle. Bottled water is also available. The room is spacious, clean, and tidy, with air conditioning and hot showers. (👱♀️)Service: The local young man was very helpful with luggage, polite and courteous. Very good service. (🍽)Dining: The breakfast was extremely poor, almost non-existent. There was coffee on a table by the entrance and a plate of bananas. There were supposed to be some bread items, but for breakfast from 7-11 AM, when I came down at 10:20 AM, all the bread was gone. Only coffee and bananas were left. No other dishes at all. (💰)Price: From March 11-13, 2026, it was 180 (with breakfast) per night. Rooms on the upper floor are around 230, ground floor around 180, and basement around 130. (🎊)Value for Money: Generally average. (🇱🇦)Overall Review: 📶The Wi-Fi was excellent and very fast, with multiple networks available. There are power outlets and light switches by the bed, which is very convenient. Everything was satisfactory except for the breakfast!

Facilities: Pretty good Hygiene: Quite clean Service: Excellent! When we checked out, the landlady even helped us contact a car for free, so we immediately found a ride to the high-speed rail station. We're really grateful to her.

A Cozy and Perfectly Located Stay I had a great experience at this hotel. The room was cozy and perfectly adequate, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The best part is the incredibly convenient location. It is within easy walking distance to Luang Prabang's major tourist spots like Mount Phousi, Wat Xieng Thong, and the Royal Palace Museum. It made sightseeing effortless. Highly recommend for a practical and warm stay!

The location is a bit hard to find because all the surrounding rooms look the same. Also, there's a farm in the backyard, so you might get woken up by animals in the morning. Other than that, the amenities are quite complete, and the bread for breakfast is good. For this price, it's pretty reasonable.

A very nice villa central to the old town and the daily alms giving passes by it. Service was great and staff were friendly, and the amenities are good considering its price.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Wanika during our trip to Luang Prabang, and it honestly exceeded our expectations. Firstly, we were pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade, which was such a thoughtful gesture and a great start to our stay. The upgraded room came with a beautiful private balcony, which quickly became our favorite spot. Sitting there in the morning with coffee and in the evening after exploring the town felt incredibly peaceful. The location is perfect, close to the night market and main attractions, yet tucked away in a quiet lane so you can truly relax. It’s the best of both worlds. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bed was cozy, air conditioning worked perfectly (a lifesaver in the Laos heat), and everything felt warm and welcoming. The staff were kind, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality genuinely made the experience even better. If you're looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and value-for-money stay in Luang Prabang, Villa Wanika is definitely a great choice. The free upgrade and balcony made it even more special for us. Would absolutely stay here again!

The location is ideal for exploring the main attractions of the Royal Palace Museum, river and the night market. In the morming between 5.30am to 6am, the monks walk past on the street. Ideal for those wishing to partake in the arms giving ceremony. The walls are thin, and the rooms are not big. Understandable that it was an old building. I was allocated a room on the ground floor, right behind the reception desk. Loud talking by inconsiderate guests after 10pm and before 7am was very disturbing. The hotel should put signs reminding guests to speak softly. Water and fruits was provided at reception, which was a nice gesture. Only croissants and coffee/ tea/ Ovaltine was provided for breakfast. Given the price that I paid, it didn't feel like value-for-money.

Extremely satisfied. It's just a stone's throw away from Foreigner Street and the Mekong River. The balcony room I booked this time offered an excellent, refreshing view. The interior was clean and tidy. We had a memorable vacation here.

very centrally located, comprising 3 floors (basement, 1st and 2nd floor with balcony).room is comfortable. wifi is good. breakfast is simple with croissant, banana and coffee/tea.

The host & reception were nice. Bit of noise in day new construction started behind. Rooms bit small cannot easly get on & off bed on 1 side narrow gap between ned and wall. No toiletries except for shampoo& jel & toilet roll. Ok no great deal.
