Beautiful view from the room. However, it’s all bungalows and our room was very far from the entrance which means we had to walk a while to get there. TV wasn’t working and it took them a while to send someone. We also had to ask several times for extra towels and we were questioned on the phone about why one towel wasn’t enough which was odd. The hotel itself is very isolated and far from the city. There is a shuttle that takes you downtown but it’s not very frequent, and you need to know the exact time to be picked up. Average and overpriced food, the breakfast isn’t great, quality of product isn’t good and there are insects roaming around the food which is very unappetizing. The hotel doesn’t offer any tours and the staff doesn’t have any tourist information about the city or how to visit sights like waterfalls, etc.

Facilities are good. Location is not in town but it is ok if you prefer a quiet relaxing time. Service definitely needs to be upgraded as there is a lack of staff in every corner. Nobody served drinks at the pool, no extra virgin olive in a 5-star hotel, no salt and pepper on every table etc. It is also a bit difficult to get a taxi in this hotel.

This hotel could be spectacular, the views around the hotel are stunningly beautiful but the property has been left to fall into disrepair. There has been no upkeep, the property needs a power-hose, paint & revamp. It is very unstaffed, leading to less senior staff running around trying to do everything. For example when we arrived there was no one to help us with our bags or greet us at the door (not really 5 star experience), the kids club is unstaffed, had to wait 20 minutes for someone to arrive at the pool bar to make me a drink.. don’t bother with the breakfast it is very poor quality, the noodle soup is the best option but hard to eat as the breakfast room is not air conditioned so it is boiling hot in there! The shuttle bus service was great & I liked staying out of town as lying by the pool was very tranquil. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Even better than Amantaka and Rosewood in cost perspectie. We booked a private cooking class for a 3-course meal for only $15pp. An amazing experience to make Laotian dishes and a visit to hotel’s organic garden. This resort really gave you sense of sustainble and healthy living.

Serene and peaceful environment, with nice Christmas decorations. Very helpful staff, who replied emails promptly. There is a free shuttle bus which you can take to town. Good spread of buffet. Room is very clean too. Early check in was made possible too!

The location was very nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful, specially Velra. Overall good value for money although the food quality could be improved.

Room was amazing - spacious, clean and modern. The hotel is on beautiful grounds with lovely views. Adult n children bikes are available for use within the property. Something which can be improved is the staff's understanding of English. I ordered room service twice and on both occasions, they had to call me back to confirm my orders and still they got it wrong. Also at breakfast, the staff manning the live stations did not have a good understanding of what is offered - i picked an item "french toast" stated on the menu and the cook could not understand me. I pointed to the item on the menu, she went to check and came back to say it is not available.
