Vang Luang Hotel

the room is clean. staff kindly and helpful. breakfast is good. have many things to eat. but location far from old quarter road. if you walk about 10 minutes.

The room we stayed in overlooked a busy road that was noisy 24/7 with traffic, street vendors, dogs barking and people arguing. It was impossible to sleep at all. We asked to move on the second day, but reception guys just laughed and said room next door had already asked to move and normally other options available. He said they normally put drunk travellers in the front as they don’t notice when they’re passed out, which was no help to us with young children. It’s sold as a family room. On the first day there was no power at all, which also meant no water as it’s pumped with no washing and no toilets in the whole hotel. The staff told us this happens weekly, but they don’t have any generator backup. Bathrooms are damp and have a sewage smell. Breakfast is very limited and poor quality. The hotel itself looks really nice, the garden is lovely and so is the pool. It could be really nice, but is let down by some major issue and the staff just aren’t interested in helping with anything. There are so many better options to stay in Luang Prabang.

Good choice and nice location. Friendly staff. Tasty breakfast. Would definitely recommend!

The place is nice and cozy tho the swimming pool is not as big as it seems in the photo but can’t complain with all the cleanliness and amenities. tho there was no elevator and u have carry your luggage yourself by hands.

The hotel has a good atmosphere. The reception staff is very helpful. There is a variety of breakfast. The bed is soft and comfortable. But unfortunately the TV doesn't work.

Lovely new hotel. Big rooms, very clean and comfortable and terrific service. Breakfast was a delight. Highly recommend.
