Chanthavong Hostel

The owner was super friendly and chatted with me a lot ☺︎ The room is right next to a cafe, a water dispenser, and a pool, making it a really relaxing space. It's about a 20-minute walk to the market and restaurants, so if you don't like walking, I'd recommend renting an e-bike or motorbike. However, it was convenient to have a 7-Eleven just a 2-minute walk away. The shower comes with shampoo and body soap.

Stayed for 6 nights. I was offered a separate bed in a spacious room. Pleasant surprise! Everything I needed was there – an outlet, a light. There was no duvet cover on the blanket, but that's a common occurrence in Laos and Vietnam (( For the price, it's a steal. The location isn't central, but I enjoyed walking around anyway. There's a common area, and the hot water was consistently good. The food didn't impress me, but it was nutritious enough.

Good hostel. It's a bit far from all the action, but it makes up for it with other perks.
