The location was fantastic. We were able to enjoy sightseeing in the city center without needing a taxi. We also loved that we could participate in the alms-giving ceremony right outside the hotel, just by waking up.
However, the facilities were very poor. The faucet handle came off, the interior decorations were peeling, and the bathroom shelf was flimsy and kept falling. While I understand this can happen with renovated hotels, I was honestly shocked to see what looked like copies of guests' passports being used for wall repairs, showing a blatant disregard for personal information management.
The shower temperature was difficult to adjust, and the bathtub was tilted and slippery, so be careful!
The most disappointing aspect was that our room was never cleaned once during our three-night stay. It was frustrating that we had to ask for towel changes, mineral water refills, and toilet paper refills ourselves. Furthermore, the replacement towels we received were wet and unfolded, which was quite unhygienic.
The walls were thin, and we could hear noises from the adjacent room.
On a positive note, the hotel offers a mini-bus service to the China-Laos Railway station for 60,000 kip (approximately 440 yen) per person, which I highly recommend.
