The hotel is in one of the best locations in the city. It’s surrounded by plenty of restaurants, both in front and behind, and just a 1-minute walk from the night market and street food vendors. The Mekong River is less than a 5-minute walk away, and there are lots of Instagram-worthy spots nearby for great photos. Luang Prabang is a beautiful city, especially if you’re staying in this area. The rooms are okay—nothing fancy, but functional. The air conditioning works well and keeps the room cold, which is a plus. The wifi is okay. Housekeeping cleans the room daily, and complimentary water is provided. However, one downside is the smell in the room and bathroom, likely coming from the sewers. Even if you don’t use the bathroom, the odor tends to return. Some air fresheners or indoor plants could really help improve the experience. Breakfast is decent. There’s a menu with some variety, but most of the options are the same. Staff are generally okay—polite but not particularly attentive or proactive. Overall, the hotel’s location is a major highlight, but with a few improvements in cleanliness, smell management, and staff engagement, it could offer a much better stay.

Location is good, nearby to mount Phousi and Night market.

Really enjoyed our one night stay  . Location is excellent off main market street and nice and quiet . Easy to get to but not suitable for travelers with a lot of luggage as no vehicle access in small walkway however easy if you have backpack or light luggage. Access however by tuktuk ok. Room clean and beautiful with amazing hot large shower.  The manager so helpful and attentive with  a good local knowledge. Breakfast choices great and fresh especially the ‘warm french bread’. Will return again next trip to this amazing little town . A Gem.

Nice room with comfortable bed , breakfast was basic with a nice selection of fruit shakes .

A nice, well-located place.

Good value for money

Located at a central to go the night market and also along the Mekong River. Very quiet and splendid hotel. Opposite is the Huean Chan Historic House museum and a Spa massage centres. Adjacent is the main road and easily accessible to ATM to withdraw cash. Local food stalls and coffee bars are abundant here. Staff are helpful and my room is clean and change towels everyday. This is an thumbs up to the room service staff. One of the amenities you have to bring is your tooth brush and your tooth paste. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at thatsaphone hotel.

Bad Service!!!

The service attitude of the hotel is very good. Half-day tours and tickets are available at the front desk. Stayed for three nights, breakfast was very rich, and tea was provided for free in the public space. The boss and staff were very helpful. They personally escorted us to the bus and sent us to the station and helped us carry our luggage to the lobby. The room was large, clean and had plenty of hot water. The location is excellent, very close to the night market and Busch, and the location is right next to the Royal Palace.

Apart from typical Laotian problems, such as the blocked shower drain, everything was fine, meaning the entire bathroom was wet. The hotel is located on a quiet side street.

Good things: 1. The location and environment of the accommodation are quite good. 2. Good service. Bad things: 1. It is relatively old, and the bed makes a loud noise when it moves. I couldn't sleep all night. I slept on the floor with a towel. 😂 2. The bathroom environment is not ideal. 3. The network signal at the accommodation location is super poor. I have 5g on the street and 3G in the accommodation room. The WiFi signal of the accommodation is also bad. Sometimes it can't be searched, and it is stuck when it is connected. It is comparable to 2G in China. It is worse than death. I booked two nights when I booked it. I regret it. When I go out, I must book one day first to see the situation and then renew it. I did this because my friends kept telling me to book two days directly. 😂
