The quiet courtyard hotel, the building is very beautiful, the middle is the pool view, there are a few towering ancient trees next to the pool, which makes people have a strong sense of shelter. My partner and I had a wonderful time at Amantaka in December this year. The whole city has just bounced back from the pandemic so I had a little expectation when coming to Luang Prabang this year. However, everything at the resort was exceptional, from the moment we were greeted at the airport, to when we were warmly greeted by the members of staff as we arrive at the moment, and when we left the resort. The property was converted from a historic building but was very well maintained. It has a classic and subtle charm and feels very cosy and intimate. Don't forget to use the Bath House that with a private pool, steamed room and sauna. Thank you Amantaka team for exceptional hospitality and I will be back again!

When our driver pulled up to the hotel by a rickety bridge over the river, we were a bit nervous as the hotel looks tiny from the outside. What we thought was the hotel was actually the lobby and the hotel is actually quite large and sprawling with buildings and bungalows scattered next to the river. The hotel has a lovely infinity pool by the river with a lounge chairs, beach towels and an affordable pool bar with snacks for sale. The rooms were spacious with large balconies. The toilet was by the front door so you had to exit the WC walk around the corner to the bathroom to wash your hands - sort of a weird set up, but did help in the morning for 2 people to get ready. This was the only hotel we stayed in with dual sinks and a long vanity so excellent for 2 travelers and a big plus! The shower was a walk in so east access. The hotel also has a restaurant where breakfast (included) is served in the morning. Unfortunately it was a buffet with limited options and the food that was supposed to be hot was always cold and unappetizing. The hotel uses tiny candles to try to keep the food warm but this method does not work at all. The hotel no longer has a shuttle to town which is a negative as you need to walk across a scary rickety bridge to get to town. The hotel does not have a gym which is a requirement, in my opinion, if you want to be a 5 star resort. My only other comment to management is to find a few better English speaking employees as we had difficulty communicating with staff. Yes we know we are in Laos and should learn to speak their language but I feel when you cater to tourists you need a few people in each area to speak the universal language for business. We did enjoy our stay and can recommend this hotel to others.

The property is charming with the standout feature a beautiful Lilly pond in the centre courtyard. Our room was beautiful and spacious with shuttered windows and a four-poster bed. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts, alternating between the different omelettes on offer accompanied by fresh fruit and pastries. We would highly recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Luang Prabang.

The staff were lovely and always greeted you with a smile. The pool area and gardens were well maintained. The rooms were a little dated and although nothing wrong with them I think I would opt to stay in one of the small hotels or villas along the nam khan next time rather than this little extra out of the centre. Breakfast choices were good with a nice non sugary muesli, milk & yoghurt, nice cafe latte and an egg station plus toast, croissants and Asia stir-fry dishes. They had free bikes you could use, although I didn't see any helmets. As noted, for what we paid it was 'ok'.

Adjacent is the main road and easily accessible to ATM to withdraw cash. Local food stalls and coffee bars are abundant here. Staff are helpful and my room is clean and change towels everyday. This is an thumbs up to the room service staff. One of the amenities you have to bring is your tooth brush and your tooth paste. Overall, I am satisfied with my stay at thatsaphone hotel.

Every year we come to Luang Prabang for vacation with our family 🧚‍♀️We all live in this homestay inn, because it is convenient ☺️It is in the center of the ancient city of Luang Prabang, and beside the Mekong River, I feel so comfortable. It’s 50 meters to the left of the house in the morning. The Old Palace Museum. Opposite the Palace is Mount Phou Si, and about 300 meters on the right is Xiantong Temple. The morning market and the French night market are less than 100 meters away. It is really very convenient to travel. The room is not small, but it feels a little bit Humid, but it is also the characteristic of this place~ It's cool when it rains every day! The boss is very enthusiastic, and he helped us call a car to Guangxi Waterfall, and the car will pick you up! The inn has a kitchen, because we are regular customers, and the owner provides us with a kitchen. I am not used to Lao food. I feel like I have found home. It is the architectural style of Laos. The windows are a bit airtight. It seems that every house It's all like this... 🧐I will come next time😚, I hope the boss is healthy😜

The location is super good. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Arc de Triomphe. It is also close to the river. There are several restaurants in the surrounding area. Very good breakfast. The room is clean and tidy. The pillows are also very comfortable. The fatal disadvantage is that it is located at a crossroad. It is very noisy at night. The hotel attendant felt like sleeping on the main road. We booked a bus ticket to Wanrong at his house and gave it to the bus station for free. Another advantage is that the hotel owner is Chinese, so there is no need to worry about language communication.
