Travelodge Ludlow
"I made a reservation for 2 nights with my family (my wife and 3 year old son) on 07/12/2025 using the Travelodge app, with a check-in on 08/12/2025 and a check-out on 10/12/2025. I arrived in Ludlow on 8 December and told the receptionist that I had a reservation to get to my room. At first, she said no, I said yes and showed her my reservation number. She gave me the room. We left our luggage and left. As it was our first time in Ludlow, we went to the town centre to explore. We came back in the evening and didn't notice the detail in the room. The room was dirty and full of spider webs. I don't know how long the room had been unused. I went to reception immediately and told the lady at the reception that the room was full of dirty spider webs and how long it had been there. I asked if the room was not used, he said he was not sure and that he would send someone to clean it if you were upset, he cleaned the spider webs even though it was late, we said everything would be okay, we still spent the night in the room, I got up in the morning, I came to the reception for breakfast or where we could go, he told me that I would be checking out on December 9th, I said there was a mistake about this, I made the reservation for December 8th and 9th, I made it through the application and said there was a problem with your application, he gave me the customer representative number, I called 9 times, I could not reach him, I am trying to explain the situation, they do not understand, they are incompetent in problem solving, there is no responsibility, I checked in on the day I made the reservation, I paid for two nights, I stayed for one night and was evicted from the hotel, when I learned this, it was an hour before the last check out, terrible service, terrible service, terrible room, dirty and unacceptable, instead of these, this kind of service is unacceptable, they charged me for two nights, but still They say you will make the payment. I asked the person at the reception why they did not call us and inform us if we did not come to work on December 7th according to my reservation. There is no answer, no responsibility, they could not offer any solution, they could not do anything about the dirty room. This service is unacceptable in this way. This establishment needs to be inspected and the fee should be refunded."
The Cliffe at Dinham
"A wonderful natural environment, very close to the castle."
Ludlow Mascall Centre
"Great location. Very simple room. Bathroom really small and not in good condition."
Travelodge Ludlow Woofferton
"A smaller, quieter Travelodge that was really welcoming when we arrived. The room was very good, well maintained, and spotlessly cleaned by Kelly. Spacious and warm. Recommended."
The Salwey Arms
CBH The Feathers Hotel & Restaurant
"The Feathers is well located in the centre of Ludlow and is an old building that is full of charm. However, this also means that it is a bit of a rabbit warren inside, making it challenging to find your way around the long, branching corridors - a definite nightmare in event of a fire. The carpark was full when we arrived, despite it being much larger than I expected, but there was a council carpark behind the hotel and only a short walk away, which was free from 6pm to 8am, which is very convenient. Our bed was large, clean and comfortable and the room was well resourced: tea and coffee making facilities with a wide range of teas and milks; complimentary canned water in the mini fridge; iron and ironing board; plenty of sockets including USB, at the bedside and a variety of products in the bathroom, though no toothpaste which was the one thing we'd forgotten to pack! One of the spoons was dirty, hence only 4 stars for cleanliness. The guest wifi was strong and easy to access. We didn't have time to use the reception areas downstairs, but they looked beautifully presented and were full of character, offering a very attractive space to have a drink or meal. Staff at reception were pleasant and professional."
The Queens
"At the peak of Saturday night restaurant and bar custom the Manager and kitchen staff were incredibly accommodating and pleasant to fit us in. Wonderful sea bass and vegetables after very little wait, considering our lack of advance booking."
Old Downton Lodge
"The bedrooms were so well thought out - fresh homemade biscuits, charging station, lovely toiletries, comfortable pillows etc. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was some of the best….including the Gin and Tonic! There were plenty of walks from the door of the hotel, helpful maps to borrow and some great stop off points for recharging."
