Mercure Hotel (Luoyang Longmen High-Speed Rail Station Municipal Government Branch)

Extremely satisfied with my stay! The location is excellent, making it convenient to get everywhere. The front desk lady was incredibly friendly and helpful; she upgraded my room for free by signing me up for a membership and thoroughly explained all the member benefits. Plus, breakfast goes until 11 AM, so I could really sleep in. Overall, a fantastic experience!

The front desk, restaurant, and rooms were all excellent. When checking out, I briefly mentioned that the mirror light in the bathroom wasn't working and then left. The front desk staff immediately chased after me with a small gift, which really shows what a great hotel this is. There were just two minor issues: 1. I left a takeout bag outside my door at 4 PM on the first day, and it was still there at 12 PM the next day. 2. The lack of a separate staff elevator is a real bug. Honestly, staying on the 18th floor and constantly having staff going in and out of the elevator while we were trying to go up and down was a bit annoying. Maybe we just happened to be using it at their busiest times.

They offer a pick-up service from Longmen Station with a Lantu business car. The driver pre-arranged everything, but I proactively made a reservation, mainly for the pick-up. I thought it was pretty good. I booked it for around 300 RMB, and the twin dates package was quite a good deal. It had everything we needed. Location-wise, it's close to Longmen Grottoes, but a bit further from other places. However, if you take a taxi, Luoyang isn't that big, and a few dozen yuan will get you anywhere, so it's acceptable. We didn't explore the surrounding area much; we mostly just went to tourist spots. The service was very good. The cleaning staff were friendly and greeted us warmly. There were also plenty of bottled water bottles placed in the stairwells for guests to take as needed, which was a nice touch. There was also bottled water in the room, which was fine. They didn't charge a deposit for check-in. I considered upgrading to a kids' room, but the upgrade fee was too high. The price including breakfast was still good for kids. Even though the little ones didn't eat much at breakfast, they weren't charged. Their beef noodle soup, however, I absolutely have to recommend! It's in the noodle section and is very distinctive. We were on a tight schedule and didn't get to try many local delicacies, but their beef noodle soup made all of us eat at least three bowls. Even the kids who don't usually like it drank a lot. We all agreed it was incredibly authentic. The only minor drawback is that if they're going to offer afternoon tea, they should do it properly – make it a bit more refined and presentable. Otherwise, it's better not to offer it at all. The mini-bar also had some complimentary small drinks. Overall, the service was really good and suitable for families. There's a new business district nearby with an unfinished building, and across the street, there seems to be a shopping mall, so it's convenient for shopping. However, we usually left early and returned late, so we didn't do anything else besides dealing with taxi issues.

This is the best HUAZHU Mercure hotel I've stayed at nationwide. Its location is fantastic, near Luoyang Longmen High-Speed Rail Station and the municipal government, making it very convenient for visiting Longmen Grottoes and museums. Facing Zhengda Plaza, it's situated in a bustling area yet surprisingly quiet. The hotel facilities are comprehensive and brand new. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the linens are clean and fresh. The front desk staff are very polite. The male security guard on duty that day was exceptionally thoughtful (even helping guests who were waiting to do laundry in the middle of the night). The breakfast was a real highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options. The Luoyang beef soup had a rich, lasting flavor, the alkaline bread was very tasty, the yogurt was thick and appetizing, and the various stir-fried dishes were fresh, fragrant, and visually appealing. I am personally very satisfied and highly recommend this hotel!

The hotel was very clean and tidy, with complete facilities, including a washer and dryer. Breakfast was also quite rich. There's a shopping mall nearby with restaurants inside. Next to the hotel, there's another big hotel with good food and reasonable prices.

The room layout was sensible, but the view wasn't great. It might have been better on the sunny side, but our room faced residential buildings. It was clean and hygienic, and the staff were warm and attentive, with prompt room service that met all our requests. A highlight was the breakfast, which had a wide variety of items and tasted good. The location is in a new district, not far from Longmen Grottoes and the Luoyang Museum, and also convenient for the high-speed train station. Downstairs, the Yantianxia restaurant offers local specialties like Luoyang Water Banquet. Overall, it's a good comprehensive score. Highly recommended!

This Mercure hotel has a great environment, location, facilities, and service. The breakfast was also very good. I stayed for two consecutive days; it's just that the room rate was a bit more expensive on the second day, probably because there were more guests. I forgot something when checking out, and the hotel even helped me mail it, which was very responsible of them.
