The hotel is by the lake and the environment is nice, but the facilities are too old and the cleanliness is so-so. There were even cobwebs hanging from the ceiling of the room, as if it hadn't been used for a long time.

The hotel is right next to Loch Lomond, and Luss is next to it. It is a pure holiday place, quiet and picturesque. The hotel rooms should all face the lake, but the facilities are obviously a bit old. However, overall it's okay. The hotel front desk couldn't find a rental car at the place where we were dropped off, it was so busy. They probably all came by car.

Only stayed one night but would have loved to stay longer: Great breakfast and a large room with comfortable bed, big bathtub/ shower with separate toilet. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location and maintained well. Reception could have been more helpful as I was travelling alone to explain the amenities on arrival. The restaurant was full until after 8pm (I was working from 6:30pm so couldn't eat in the restaurant) therefore it would have been helpful to offer a limited menu in the bar area as I believe there was nothing in the vicinity according to reception either. The breakfast staff didn't ask if I had been to breakfast previously so it was not explained where everything was and what to expect (which was explained to other couples.) The bed was also exceptionally uncomfortable as the mattress protector was very lumpy and the sheets had not been tucked in properly at the headboard. I would say Stevie the night porter was exceptional though. He did go out of his way to make sure the guests in the bar were looked after. Well done Stevie!!

We only stayed 1 night and would’ve loved to stay longer. Great hotel and helpful, courteous staff. Food was great. Beautiful views of Loch Lomond from our room. Peaceful area with great amenities. Highly recommend.

Nice breakfast, The property looks the same as it did 5 years ago and has lost that cosy feel. It needs a little TLC and it seems to have lost the ‘Scottish roots’ Staff are very polite but wouldn’t say friendly with almost a passive agressive attitude.
