"Overall, it was a good stay. Reception was quick to address initial issues around cleanliness of my room, and they made up for it by upgrading me. Room service was great, restaurants and breakfast also very good. Location is ideal, you can take a walk on the Nile at sunset and the garden is absolutely stunning. I do think parts of the hotel need upgrading, the carpets were looking a bit rough in parts of my room, the hairdryers were seriously old, headboard had marks and scuffs on it etc., I definitely expected a bit more for a 5 star hotel."

"The room is fine, bathroom needs to be cleaner, main staff all very good. except housekeeping & concierge staff, they purposely setup to get & wait for tips. I had just checkin the room. They didn’t replenish the complimentary water & some towels & tissues. I ask housekeeping to bring, i opened the door for him, I was on the phone to a client, housekeeping person interrupted me to tell me they’ve finished placing them in the bathroom & stood there waiting for a tip. It’s very annoying, I didn’t exists poor attitude from hotel staff, of course, I complained to the manager. They handled the situation. Yet this ought never to even occur."

"Good Location. Clean and Comfortable. Lying on the sun-bathing chair at night to see the stars there is really cozy. Need to be aware that the shower facilities is just soso, the water pressure is not strong enough"

"Fantastic location just 10 minutes walking distance from Luxor temple. The hotel has beautiful gardens that lead down to the Nile. Choose a Nile view room and you can see across to the Valley of the Kings and the balloon flights early each morning. Excellent service especially from Semon and the reception staff. Good choice at breakfast and 3 restaurants. The outdoor pool is on a pontoon floating on the Nile. All in all excellent."

"This place makes a nice stay. It has its own zoo which is pretty cool. Sunset views by the pool are great. Great amenities. Service is a little slow. Pool is nice and massive. Few different restaurants at the property. Overall it’s a decent stay."

"It has beautiful Nile sunset view. Amenities are great. Internet weak in rooms, good in lobby. Breakfast is scrumptious. Only some of the housekeeping fellas are dodgy, like everywhere in Egypt, they try all means to get tips, more tips, more money."

"We had a small issue with the AC when we arrived, but it was quickly resolved. The hotel itself is beautifully located and has a charming atmosphere with historical touches in its decoration. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the manager in particular is a kind and genuine person – it was a pleasure speaking with him. The hotel also offers excellent services. I asked about a river boat ride with dinner, and they organized everything for us: comfortable coach pickup and a private boat with dinner. It was a truly romantic experience and very well arranged. We had also a great massage in the spa and a pedicure. Special thanks for Sabah, a very kind lady. Overall, a wonderful stay with great service and warm hospitality. Highly recommended!"

"Great stay, but missing a hairdryer I really enjoyed my stay at the Lotus Hotel in Luxor. The location is convenient, the room was clean, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Everything went smoothly and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. The only small issue was that there was no hairdryer in the room, which was a bit unexpected. It would be great if this could be added or made easier to request. Overall, a great experience — would definitely recommend!"

"The hotel was okay. The facilities were good and the staff are very helpful. The room is a little dated but still very nice and clean with an amazing pool. We were upgraded to a Nile view which was nice. The sunsets by the pool are also gorgeous. Great location as base for day trips in Luxor. The only annoying thing was being pestered by vendors to buy at their shops inside the hotel(some wouldn’t take “no, thank you” for an answer), I understand they need to keep business going but all I wanted to do was relax by the pool after a long day of touring and fighting off vendors all day. The food here is also awful (gave free school hostel food vibes), we tried dinner twice and room service in addition to daily breakfast . We paid about 3000EGP for 1 buffet dinner and it was definitely not worth it. Our least favourite food from our 2weeks around Egypt. You can pay less for delicious food elsewhere. The stay here was okay and staff were generally friendly and nice. No expectations of or demanding tips."
