Luxury Hotels in Anji

"I particularly loved the ESG concept of Banyan Tree. After much deliberation, I chose a day when the afterglow of the white dolphins was still present to come to Anji for some water fun. With both young and old in our group, and considering the kids' boisterous age and the elders' preference for quiet, we opted for a courtyard villa with a private hot spring. The night before check-in: A butler (Summer) called to confirm our arrival time the next day, specific arrangements for our group, and any special requests. She also proactively shared information about the hotel's dining and entertainment facilities, as well as recommended nearby attractions (a detail worth praising: travel time and operating hours were clearly marked). Check-in: We arrived at the hotel after 3 PM on the day of check-in. A staff member offered us cool towels and welcome tea, which indeed helped alleviate much of the summer heat. The green pastry also looked quite refreshing. As it was peak summer season and our booked villa was one of a back-to-back sequence, we waited for about 15 minutes. During the wait, a staff member offered us white tea to taste. Our group spent time outside the Lobby bar, where we could take in a panoramic view of the outdoor pool and the hotel's staggered architecture, with perfectly placed greenery. Our butler, Summer, and a concierge staff member drove us to our room in a buggy. The villa numbers in the villa area gave a sense of 'a journey unfolding, with a promising future.' We stayed in 2020, and the privacy was excellent. It was a one-bedroom, one-living room layout with a high ceiling, visually about 5 meters. Even during a thunder and lightning storm that night, there was only a very subtle sound inside the room, demonstrating the careful selection of soundproofing materials. The private hot spring was in the courtyard, constant temperature with massage jets. After a 'special forces' day of activities, sitting by the pool and massaging our legs was incredibly relaxing, so much so that we didn't even use the large bathtub in the bathroom. The first round of the mini-bar was complimentary and generally met the needs of a family, with milk for the kids, 'happy water' (soda) and beer for adults, and juices for health-conscious individuals. The hotel also thoughtfully provided a dehumidifier and air purifier on the first floor to address humidity and air quality. The two gentlemen in our group found it particularly convenient to step out into the courtyard for a smoke whenever they opened the door. There was turn-down service every night, which included stress-relief squishy toys for the children. If I had one minor suggestion, it would be more convenient to have another phone in the living room. Wi-Fi connection was easy, but the speed was average. The soft services at the hotel were excellent. Every staff member we encountered had a proactive service mindset, and when walking in the villa area, they would thoughtfully greet guests and offer directions. We went to the outdoor pool in the late afternoon, and it was truly beautiful. The children had a great time in the kids' pool, while the indoor pool was relatively neglected. Breakfast was at the Shang Fang Thai Restaurant. Every night, Summer would thoughtfully remind us of the dining times and peak hours to avoid crowds and enhance the dining experience. The outdoor area of the restaurant was particularly impressive, with water stations for dogs and a spot for practicing Ba Duan Jin (a type of Qigong). The indoor buffet stations were concentrated, with a rich variety. I particularly liked the pho, which had a light flavor. It's worth mentioning that the front and back of the restaurant worked seamlessly together; there were no food shortages even during peak hours, and the chefs were very willing to interact with guests and were friendly to children. The bedding was very comfortable, and towels, etc., felt brand new, having been updated in July, offering an excellent user experience. Men's and women's toiletries bags were separately equipped with razors, cotton pads, and shower caps, addressing everyone's differentiated needs. My husband really liked the scent of the shower gel and plans to look for the same one at home. The room's blackout curtains were very effective. Waking up in the morning and opening the curtains to enjoy the green view outside was truly wonderful – this must be the meaning of hard work, haha. On the second evening, small peacocks delivered a turn-down surprise. Opening the window revealed beauty (they were actually seeking shelter from the rain). Soon after, the staff escorted them back to their coop. Hehe, a testament to the staff's efficiency. My butler was still sending reminders for the next day after 10 PM every night, and then early in the morning around 8 AM, she sent comforting messages and inquired about a convenient time for room cleaning. These were actually her personal non-working hours, which speaks to the dedication of hotel staff. Thank you for your efforts. I hope this humble sharing can help everyone solidify their choices."

"This stay was fantastic, and the hotel's biggest highlight is definitely the environment. Our room directly faced stunning mountain views and lush greenery, offering an incredibly expansive vista. Sitting on the balcony, gazing at the water and distant mountains, really brings a sense of peace and tranquility. Especially on good weather days, the reflections on the water are beautiful and make for perfect photos every time. The overall design of the hotel also has a great sense of quality; the architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment. It’s not one of those overly commercial or noisy resort hotels. It offers a strong sense of privacy and a true vacation feel. Waking up to mountain views in the morning and taking a stroll around in the evening makes for a wonderfully relaxing experience, almost without needing any other itinerary. The room itself was clean, tidy, and very comfortable to stay in. The staff were very helpful and responsive when needed, yet never intrusive, which was a huge plus. If you're looking for a place to unwind for a couple of days, escape the city, and enjoy some quiet relaxation, I think this place is perfect. The photos are already beautiful, but experiencing the mountain and water views in person is even more comfortable and relaxing than what the pictures convey. I would definitely come back again if I get the chance."

"To start with the conclusion, while this Indigo property doesn't quite get a perfect score for its overall performance, its minor flaws don't overshadow its good points. In fact, it's already on my list of hotels to re-visit for a weekend getaway. In terms of transport, it's about an hour's drive from Hangzhou with no difficult roads. It's backed by the Lingfeng Mountain scenic area, making its location particularly good. We stayed in a room with a private hot spring tub. I really liked the tub's terrace, which had bamboo screens for privacy. The hot tub itself was square-shaped and quite spacious, large enough for someone of my small stature to lie down in. I was originally drawn to Indigo Anji because of its cave bar. Upon check-in, there were a few minor issues with the room. However, I was completely won over by the food at Jiwei Restaurant, and the housekeeping staff promptly resolved the issues, so I can overlook them. On the first night, we had dinner included in our package at Jiwei Restaurant. I usually don't have high expectations for complimentary meals from promotional offers, but I was surprisingly impressed by the taste. So, we immediately booked a table for dinner on the second night. We ordered some dishes that caught our eye, and aside from the slightly slow service, the taste once again exceeded our expectations. (P.S. IHG members can earn points and get discounts on dining). Additionally, there's a super cute mixed-breed tabby cat on the second-floor lounge platform. It's not afraid of people at all and will even come up for a cuddle. All in all, whenever I'm looking for a place to relax on the weekend, Indigo Anji will be my top choice."

"The room was fantastic! We got a free upgrade, and the breakfast was excellent too! I accidentally dropped my car keys on the hotel road one evening, and the next day, Mr. Shi, the shuttle bus team leader, along with the duty manager, went above and beyond to help me find them. "I stayed at the Mediterranean Lijing Anji Resort in late August, and the service was excellent. So, I decided to bring my family here again for the National Day holiday, and the service was just as good. From booking the room to the room arrangement, activity planning, room cleaning, and overall guest service, everything was seamless. It rained during the National Day holiday, but the festive atmosphere was still strong, and the evening activities were amazing. The room facilities included a coffee machine and a rotating TV cabinet. This time, Bernie helped with the service arrangements and activity coordination. I highly recommend coming back again!"

"I stayed at Laozhuang Mountain Residence for 3 days and 2 nights. When I first booked, I was a bit apprehensive after seeing quite a few negative reviews on Xiaohongshu and Ctrip. However, as soon as I entered the resort, I immediately relaxed; the environment is truly wonderful. After spending two days and two nights there, my only question became: why are there so many negative reviews online? The staff here are very polite and courteous to guests. They use a WeChat butler system, so any questions can be communicated directly with your butler via WeChat. What impressed me was that messages sent to the butler at 10:30 PM were almost always met with an instant reply. There were a few instances during my stay where communication wasn't completely covered, but credit where credit is due: the resort didn't shirk responsibility. Instead, they actively addressed and resolved the issues, which is truly commendable. Our room was exceptionally clean. I wiped surfaces with a disinfectant wipe, and there wasn't a speck of dust. Some guests mentioned a lot of bugs and mosquitoes, which is true, but isn't that just part of being in a mountain environment? As a side note, the stir-fried greens at Ganqishi were absolutely delicious!"

"Raine, our butler, was absolutely fantastic! Her service was so thoughtful, and our stay was a delightful surprise. 1. The hotel's location isn't remote at all. After exiting the Anji toll station, it's about a 10-minute drive. Plus, the food delivery options are incredibly comprehensive, with orders arriving in just 30 minutes. Anji's food delivery prices are really good value – we ordered multiple meals! 2. For parking, there's an outdoor parking lot and about 6-8 spots right at the hotel lobby entrance. If you're lucky, you can snag a spot by the lobby. There's a shuttle bus always on standby at the outdoor lot, which is great. The outdoor parking also has fast charging, and from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, it's only 0.5 RMB per kWh, which is super cost-effective. The shuttle staff constantly reminded guests to be careful, take their time, and not rush. 3. The lobby has a welcome drink station, offering what seemed to be a cucumber-flavored drink – it tasted very healthy. 4. We stayed in Building 1, which was very close to the lobby and convenient. 5. The hotel is about 30+ kilometers from attractions like Anji Xiaohangkeng and Shibawan. Since the kids weren't interested in those, we visited the Anji branch of the Zhejiang Museum of Natural History, which is quite large."

"I booked a 'Wangshan Building Deluxe Twin Room' at Wangshan Yunju for two nights for 998 yuan. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and the mattress and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel's overall service was excellent, and its mountain-side location offered beautiful surroundings. My only complaint was the complimentary travel photoshoot – the photographer (a woman) had an extremely poor attitude and was very disrespectful. While it was a free perk, it left a very bad impression on guests. I hope the hotel will be more selective with its partner services."

"The resort is excellent. The room was clean and the facilities were well-maintained, showing no signs of aging, which I was very satisfied with. The service was also great. The hotel is like a large estate, but no matter where you are, there are always staff members ready to help you call a car to go anywhere. As for entertainment, the Tea Museum offers a brief look at the history of tea, and you can also enjoy a premium white tea at a very low price – highly recommended. The hot springs are also good; the mugwort bath at the very top was my favorite! I didn't take many photos, just two in the Tea Museum, haha."

"The price is that of a five-star hotel, but the actual experience doesn't match the cost. The hotel environment is nice, but the facilities are old and outdated. The animal enclosure is rusty, run-down, and poorly maintained. Furthermore, we visited in the summer, and the weather was extremely hot, yet the pool wasn't filled and there was no lifeguard. However, the service was excellent, and the food at the restaurant was delicious. The restaurant staff were very friendly and polite. Nevertheless, breakfast started too late: 8 AM is the latest I've ever seen anywhere. This is very inconvenient for families with small children and babies who need to eat early. All in all, paying 2580 yuan for two nights at a place like this is not good value for money."
