"Staying at Capella Sanya again certainly confirmed those familiar sentiments: once you've experienced Capella, other hotels just don't quite measure up. Even after staying at over a hundred five-star hotels, and thirty in Hainan, I still feel Capella offers the best stay. A special thank you to Chris, the cultural and tourism officer, and the travel photography team. Improvements from our last visit: 1. Travel photography is now available, and the resulting photos are excellent. 2. The tennis court is now free and has no time limit. They even provide children's rackets, iced water, and iced towels – the attention to detail is superb. 3. Provided a dedicated car service to the station, greatly facilitating our journey to the next destination. 4. Used the gazebo for the first time. Especially after a fall that left me covered in sand, the gazebo's washing facilities were incredibly convenient. 5. Received complimentary champagne, making our 10th wedding anniversary feel truly special. 6. Had a dedicated discussion with the hotel management, which significantly deepened my understanding of the brand, making the stay experience more profound than superficial. 7. My child had the opportunity to play the piano and also saw the stunning high-altitude sea view of Tufu Bay, which is just as beautiful as Haitang Bay. 8. Experienced making my own cocktail at breakfast, something absolutely unheard of at other hotels, and it made up for a previous missed opportunity. 9. Children aren't allowed in the spa, but they can be looked after, which gave us great peace of mind. 10. The evening ceremony clashed with the crab-catching activity, but Chris, the cultural and tourism officer, took our child to catch crabs, allowing us to attend the evening ceremony without worry. This deserves high praise! 11. Received a full family souvenir gift. Every member was considered; in the past, souvenirs were only given to one person, but this time all three of us received one, which was a pleasant surprise. 12. The staff's service attitude has improved. The shuttle driver even came to our room door to pick us up, the pool lifeguard proactively called a car for us, and the manager conversed with us while kneeling the whole time. When we left, the car had driven quite a distance, but they were still waving goodbye. 13. There was an error in our booking, only reserving breakfast for one person, but the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast for the other person. Otherwise, the cost for an extra breakfast isn't low. A few points that weren't as good: 1. The explanation for the evening ceremony was unpracticed, the process was chaotic, and the sense of occasion was diminished. 2. Several communications happened during meal times, affecting our afternoon tea and breakfast experience. 3. There were some issues with the room's TV and electric curtain buttons. 4. The hotel activity schedule was less entertaining; the activities weren't as fun as before. Chris, the cultural and tourism officer, and his team provided a lot of information and suggestions. They truly consider the guests, making us feel at home. Only at Capella can you experience genuine butler service."

"Room amenities: Dyson hairdryer, Le Labo toiletries, the room is very new. Hotel facilities: The family pool is perfect for kids, with a bubble party every day. The seawater pool is huge and great for a good swim! The public areas are stunning, with beautiful views at every turn. Family-friendly: The kids' play area is geared more towards younger children, but thankfully, there are plenty of activities. They proactively provided kids' toiletries and water guns. The sand play area is also very reassuring, no need to constantly watch the kids at the beach! They gave us bubble bath, flower petals, and coconuts! 🥥 Breakfast: Delicious Zhaopocu wontons and excellent coffee. Dinner buffet: My child had two bowls of beef noodles in one go! 😂 Service: Our butler Naiya was incredibly patient and went above and beyond. We encountered a typhoon and rain, and she proactively informed us about alternative activities. We'll definitely be back!"

"What's good: The environment and facilities are indeed excellent, and the sea view from the window is beautiful. The public beach is clean, and the palm grove is lovely. The in-room bubble bath was also very clean and comfortable. Nicole, our butler, was quite responsive. What's not so good: I booked quite early at 2600, but the price later dropped to 2400. Modifying the booking twice on Ctrip was troublesome, and the cancellation policy was quite strict. On the night of the typhoon, the curtain outside the door made a very loud noise, waking me up in the middle of the night. I even had to call someone to fix it, which affected my sleep. I'd suggest avoiding such decorative items in outdoor corridors. Overall, the experience was still quite good, giving it 5 stars."

"For our second summer vacation hotel, we chose Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay. As soon as we arrived, a staff member proactively helped us with our luggage. During check-in, the staff provided a detailed overview of the hotel map and all the benefits we could enjoy. Even though it was a standard sea-view room, the high-floor view was just as stunning as any other building. Room service was incredibly responsive; they brought items back and forth multiple times on our arrival day. The staff were very attentive; they noticed we tried to combine beds but failed, so they proactively helped us put them together, making the space incredibly spacious. The turndown service and small cake each evening were also a thoughtful touch. The popular infinity pool was very clean and beautiful, and the kids loved it; the water temperature was perfect. The beach wasn't crowded, and almost all water activities were available. Camp Hyatt offered many children's activities, and every teacher remembered the children's names, showing great patience and enthusiasm. Our child signed up for the 'Planet Bay' night exploration activity and caught sand crabs and small insects. The breakfast buffet had plenty of choices, and the freshly baked French toast was absolutely delicious. On our last day, I was lucky enough to try the sea cucumber noodles for breakfast, which were truly fantastic. The hotel's experience ambassador would send updates on hotel activities in advance. We also reached out to her for any needs during our stay, and we're very grateful for her help. Although the first two days were cloudy, it didn't detract from the hotel's overall ambiance. Every public area showcased the designer's unique vision. The last two days finally cleared up, and Sunny Bay's 'glass sea' lived up to its reputation; every photo taken was beautiful. We booked dinner at the Tea House, and the crispy lime baked veal is highly recommended. Our stay at Park Hyatt truly felt like a full-on vacation. We constantly encountered staff who greeted us, and if we walked a little slowly, someone would proactively ask if we needed help. Looking forward to our next stay!"

"The Mandarin Oriental Sanya has that classic old-hotel charm. There are many huge, mature trees and beautifully maintained lawns. The public areas exude a beauty that comes with age. A stroll along the beach path towards the villas is absolutely stunning – on a clear day, it feels like a mini-Maldives! 🥰 The service was exceptional. The moment I stepped out of the car, they greeted me by my full name. We were whisked away by buggy straight to our villa for check-in. When checking out, I simply messaged our butler on WeChat to arrange a buggy for our luggage, and before the buggy even arrived, my deposit was already refunded – so generous! I'm easily won over by these little details. [blush] Knowing we had a late flight, they even granted us a late check-out. Special thanks to the butler team: Jacky, Jason, Gavin, Lee, and Eason. They made our two-day stay incredibly comfortable. The location is superb. Coral Bay is beautiful on a sunny day. The entire beach is covered in coral, which my child loved collecting. You can go tide pooling at low tide and snorkeling at high tide. Initially, an older hotel like this, which typically wouldn't offer great value for money, wasn't on my radar. But my husband wanted to stay, and I was worried that the basic rooms might be old and not well-maintained. Then I saw a deal for an entry-level two-bedroom villa that seemed quite reasonable, so I booked it. Before arrival, the butler contacted me to ask about any requests. I mentioned I liked sea views and a good location, and that it was my child's birthday, so a small decoration would be nice. They upgraded us directly to the top-tier Coral Bay full sea view villa! My superficial self found it hard to be objective after that, haha. Breakfast was decent. It closes at 11 AM, and even arriving at 10:30 AM, there was still a short queue – this was probably the only minor drawback. For dinner, we ate at The Corner, one of the hotel's restaurants. We ordered a set menu for two, and the chef came to inquire about our preferences. We mentioned the steak was a little dry, and without hesitation, they immediately prepared another excellent ribeye. Again, so generous! [strong_emoji]"

"This was my first time staying at Atlantis Sanya, and the main reason for our visit was to celebrate my husband's birthday. I was drawn to the Atlantis' activities and facilities while searching for hotels in Sanya on Trip.com. Since I was busy with work, I didn't have much time to plan the itinerary. Luckily, after booking the hotel, I contacted them via email, and they kindly agreed to arrange a birthday cake to surprise my husband on his special day. Atlantis also offers a very thoughtful service. I had pre-purchased tickets for the beluga underwater activity and the dolphin interaction program separately through their WeChat mini-program. Soon after, I received a call from an Atlantis staff member informing me that there was a package deal that included both activities at a significantly lower price. In the end, they helped me cancel my previous orders and process a refund so I could repurchase the package. I wholeheartedly recommend the beluga underwater activity. Andy and Tina, the star belugas, are gentle and a little playful. They interacted with us for a full 30 minutes. Opportunities to touch belugas are rare in a lifetime, and being able to kiss them too made the ticket price absolutely worth it! The Ossiano underwater restaurant is also worth a try! As it was my husband's birthday dinner, we opted for a specific set menu. We enjoyed our meal right next to the large fish tank, watching the fish swim by. The price of their set menu is comparable to 'Omakase' in Hong Kong. If you have any dietary restrictions, they are happy to accommodate changes to the ingredients. Ossiano's ambiance, service, food quality, and portion sizes were all excellent. Both of us found every dish delicious, and at the end, the waiter thoughtfully brought us hot tea to help us digest. Finally, I'd like to extend a special thank you to Ariel, our dedicated Atlantis hotel staff member. Throughout our 4-day, 3-night stay, she thoughtfully messaged us to see if we had any special needs. When she learned it was for my husband's birthday, she specifically arranged balloons and decorations, and even sent fruit and a birthday cake. These past few days, she was like a little assistant, quietly taking care of everything behind the scenes for me. She also helped me communicate with the restaurant and answered all my questions. I really appreciate all her help these past few days. 💕 If you're planning a trip to Sanya, Atlantis is truly an excellent choice. The price might not be cheap, but the room rate includes daily unlimited access to the aquarium and one daily entry to Aquaventure Waterpark per person. The cost of these tickets alone makes it a great value, whether you're a couple or a family with children!"

There are also five outdoor swimming pools including two specifically built for children. A variety of activities are on offer on the hotel beach, The hotel also offers a supervised Kids Club with a waterslide, a kid’s pool with shower and an outdoor play area.

"First off, the location. The hotel's location and views are absolutely stunning, directly facing Yalong Bay and right in its prime spot – truly beautiful! Next, the hotel room design. It's the Thai style I prefer. This time, I stayed in the Presidential Suite, Ritz Wing, which has two bedrooms. Honestly, the room design is a little dated, but since this was a family trip with my parents, they actually loved this 'old cadre' style, so I guess the design was fine after all. As for comfort, there were four adults, two children, and a nanny in our group. With two bedrooms plus a study, we had an extra bed set up in the study for the nanny, which worked out perfectly, and everyone slept very well. Finally, the service. We had all our meals at the executive lounge on the sixth floor. The executive rooms had a high occupancy, but there seemed to be fewer staff members, so during peak hours, some service might have been a bit slow. However, I found the butler quality to be excellent. Our butlers, Alice and Rick, were incredibly responsive and helpful with all our needs, and they promptly made up for any minor service shortcomings, so the overall experience was still good. The trip ended perfectly with them seeing us off from the lobby to our car. So, overall, I was very satisfied with the stay and would definitely come back. Finally, I have a couple of suggestions. First, the executive lounge's food selection is quite limited; besides the delicious beef noodles, everything else was just average. Also, during peak dining times, it gets very crowded, so I suggest increasing staffing to improve the guest experience. Second, some of the room's hardware facilities are showing their age. For example, the showerhead in our room was broken and couldn't be hung up, so we had to hold it the entire time, which was very inconvenient. I recommend the hotel enhances its maintenance of room equipment."

"Checked into Raffles Clearwater Bay, and the Sky & Sea View Room exceeded expectations. Starting from 80 sqm, the room size is a significant advantage compared to similar-tier hotels. The decor features a Nanyang resort style, with a separate walk-in closet and a bathroom with double vanities. The balcony is spacious, offering expansive ocean views from higher floors – you can even see the turquoise sea right from your bed. Privacy is excellent, making for a relaxed and comfortable stay. I must give a special shout-out to our butler, Chloe, who provided outstanding service throughout our stay. Her pre-arrival communication was thorough, and she was always prompt in responding during our visit. Whether it was inquiring about hotel activities, arranging amenities, or fulfilling last-minute requests, she followed up diligently and ensured everything was handled meticulously. She proactively took care of many details, saving us a lot of hassle. The hotel's tropical gardens are beautiful, and just outside is a private beach that 'sings' (referring to the sand). The breakfast quality is excellent, and the overall ambiance is fantastic, making it perfect for families and couples on vacation. Overall, it was a very pleasant island getaway. I highly recommend the Sky & Sea View Room type and am also grateful for Chloe's dedicated service. Looking forward to visiting again."

"Choosing St. Regis for our Yalong Bay trip was an excellent decision! Room: The room was incredibly spacious, which was very comfortable. Our butler, Kimi, arranged a Deluxe Ocean View Room for us, and the view was absolutely fantastic! The balcony was very close to the sea. Service: St. Regis's service is truly excellent. Our butler, Kimi, added so much comfort to our trip. A huge thank you to Kimi!!! Activities: St. Regis offers many boating activities for older children. We tried kayaking, and the kids loved it, even catching small crabs! Food: We had both of our meals at the hotel's Chinese restaurant, and it was delicious! "The Kimpton Shimao Clearwater Bay is a six-star hotel that truly excels in every aspect, from its hardware and services to its intricate details and overall experience. This is not an advertisement, I genuinely mean it! 1. **Exquisite Design:** The public areas are stunning, with picturesque views at every turn – a paradise for detail-oriented guests. Every corner is Instagram-worthy, feeling more like an art museum than a hotel. The rooms are top-notch, with excellent amenities. The most delightful surprise was the hand-painted glass art created especially for our anniversary, a truly thoughtful touch. 2. **Exceptional Service:** * We used a secret phrase at the front desk and received a cute blind box and a commemorative pendant. * The in-room ”treasure chest” was incredibly practical: it included a full sun protection set (sunglasses, sunscreen, aloe vera gel), nail clippers, eye masks, and more, anticipating all sorts of forgotten essentials. * The Guest Relations Specialist, Vicky, deserves special praise! She contacted us by phone in advance and managed to upgrade us to a sea-view room despite the high occupancy during the summer. She also proactively arranged for the anniversary hand-painting and even sent us a Westie doll that we'd requested. Her warm and responsive service was truly touching. * Sales Manager KK was efficient in recording our needs and coordinating arrangements, proving both professional and reliable. 3. **Fantastic Public Areas:** The hotel's public areas are a veritable ”resort playground,” guaranteeing no boredom: in addition to various swimming pools, there's a lazy river, waterfall curtain, non-motorized water sports facilities, and more, complemented by numerous relaxation zones. Towels, mineral water, kickboards, and swimming rings are all readily available. There's even an e-sports area, which was astonishing. The overall greenery design is also aesthetically pleasing, and the outdoor public areas offer endless photo opportunities. My only regret is not booking an extra day. 4. **Abundant Dining Options:** There are many restaurants, and we didn't have a chance to try them all. Our room included social hour, drink vouchers, and the in-room mini-bar, providing more than enough to eat and drink. To be honest, the breakfast was visually more appealing than it was flavorful, but overall, it was definitely above average."
