No. 5 of Luxury Hotels in Shenzhen
Adjacent to the RAIL IN shopping mall, Shangri-La Nanshan, Shenzhen is situated at the heart of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, a prime location within the Huiyun Center of Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base. Located at the junction of with three metro lines, within walking distance to Hongshuwan Station for line 2 and Hongshuwan South Station for lines 9 and 11. Shenzhen Bay Port and Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport are an approximately 15 and 35-minute drive from the hotel. Shangri-La Nanshan, Shenzhen provides guests with a panoramic view of this vibrant city, overlooking magnificent surrounding cityscape: Mangrove Wetland Park to the North, Overseas Chinese Town Harbour to the East, Shahe Golf Course to the West, and adjacently to the South, the picturesque Shenzhen Bay Coastal Zone spans to the horizon and Hong Kong on the other side of the strait. The theme design of the hotel was inspired by homing birds spreading out their wings and flying to the comfort of their home. There are 272 guest rooms, four restaurants, a Spa and Fitness Center, and banquet facilities, offering a comprehensive range of cuisine and services. Shangri-La brings the brand-defining luxury Asian hospitality from the heart for our guests to unwind their body and soul in a courtyard high in the ‘clouds’.

"The Shangri-La Shenzhen Nanshan is absolutely the most delightful 'cloud hotel' I've stayed in recently! It truly lives up to its reputation as a flagship masterpiece designed by CCD, bringing Lingnan gardens into the sky at 290 meters. The seamless blend of oriental elegance and modern luxury completely redefined my perception of Shangri-La. My stay was upgraded to a suite on the 74th floor. The spacious 86-square-meter-plus room offered breathtaking 270-degree panoramic views from its floor-to-ceiling windows! In the daytime, the Shenzhen Bay sparkled; in the evening, an orange sunset painted the sea, and at night, I could even see the lights of Window of the World – every moment felt like a painting. The aqua-green tones, complemented by Lingnan screens and a birdcage-themed mini-bar, showed incredible attention to detail. Amenities like a Dyson hairdryer, L'Occitane toiletries, and a smart toilet were all provided. The bathtub, directly facing the floor-to-ceiling window, offered an incredibly blissful experience of soaking while admiring the city lights. The 'Collection 66' restaurant on the 66th floor felt like a secret garden in the sky. For breakfast, the freshly made rice noodle rolls and congee were incredibly authentic, alongside fresh juices and young coconuts – a wide variety of delicious options. The high-altitude, heated infinity pool on the 77th floor was incredibly dreamy; with its 'Moon Rising from the Sea' art installation, swimming while looking down at the city lights was incredibly therapeutic. The service maintained Shangri-La's usual attentiveness. Concierge proactively helped with luggage, the turndown service was thoughtful and warm, and the member benefits were generous – a significant room upgrade and complimentary mini-bar. The location is super convenient, within walking distance of the subway station and seamlessly connected to a shopping center. It's perfect for both business and leisure, and it has definitely been added to my must-stay list for Shenzhen!"

"The Raffles Shenzhen — hands down the best hotel experience I've ever had, a true hidden gem ❤️💯 I'm a very light sleeper and extremely picky when it comes to hotels. I've stayed in quite a few in Shenzhen, but it wasn't until I checked into Raffles Shenzhen that I truly felt like I 'didn't want to leave'. First off, the hotel environment is incredibly comfortable and clean. Most importantly, the soundproofing is exceptional, allowing me to finally get a good night's sleep. Among hotels in a similar price range, their rooms are the most spacious, offering unbeatable value for money. The facilities are comprehensive, and the service is incredibly thoughtful and attentive 💯 I particularly want to thank several staff members: Qian, Maddy, Kathryn, Echo, Vava, Nora, and Naomi – every single one of them was so warm and friendly 💗 Special thanks go to our butler, Annie. Not only did she help me find a great barbershop and dental clinic nearby, but she was also worried I might get lost and personally walked me there. Her meticulous attention to detail and patience are truly rare and commendable. Believe me, this is definitely a hotel you won't regret choosing."

"This time, my family and I stayed at the Andaz, a hotel designed by Tony Chi, which seamlessly blends Nanyang retro charm with modern chic. This hotel has always been a classic case study for designers. The overall space is more of a 'Nanyang private residence' than a typical hotel, eschewing the traditional luxury hotel concept to create a 1920s private mansion belonging to a wealthy overseas Chinese merchant from Nanyang. Key design philosophies: • De-hotelization, de-lobbyfication, de-front deskification • Minimizing formality, maximizing a sense of 'homecoming' and 'social connection' • Spaces are not 'public areas,' but rather 'the owner's living room, study, dining room, and conservatory' This represents Tony Chi's most mature 'club-style hotel' approach in recent years, with Andaz Shenzhen being the pinnacle of this concept. It's modern, quiet, understated, and exudes sophistication without being ostentatious.💗 The guest services team, especially Candy, provided incredibly attentive service, always anticipating guests' unexpressed needs. This 'just right' level of service requires exceptional professionalism and observation skills, embodying luxury through restrained enthusiasm and top-tier service. I'm truly grateful for the thoughtful care during my stay!😃"

Offering full ocean-view luxurious rooms, a diverse array of entertainment options and spectacular shows, creatively infused local cuisine, as well as romantic beachfront weddings, it crafts an experience that surpasses expectations for leisure seekers and vacation enthusiasts.

"MGM Shenzhen — A Sparkling Pearl Between Mountains and Sea MGM Shenzhen deserves a perfect five-star rating from me! 🌊 From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was enveloped in luxury. The high ceilings, artistic decor, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering unbeatable views of Dameisha Bay were captivating even just during check-in. The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful; seeing I had a child with me, they proactively upgraded us to a sea-view room. The guest experience team, particularly 'Peacock' Zhu, was always on hand to answer any questions throughout our stay, which was very considerate. Our room was even more stunning! We stayed in a full sea-view room, and the moment we opened the balcony door, the vast blue ocean stretched out before us without obstruction. The sound of the waves was the perfect white noise. The bedding was so soft it felt like sleeping on clouds, and the toiletries were from the high-end brand Memo. Attention to detail was evident everywhere—from the smart toilet to the Dyson hairdryer, every amenity exuded quality. The hotel's entertainment facilities were like having an entire resort at our fingertips! The outdoor pool faces the ocean directly, and swimming at sunset was breathtakingly romantic. Indoors, there's also a kids' club where my child didn't want to leave. The evening M Show with its fire dance performances was also spectacular. It's truly rare to find a hotel in Shenzhen that combines luxury, family-friendliness, and a resort feel so perfectly. Whether you're traveling as a couple or a family, MGM will not disappoint. I'm already planning a second visit—highly recommended! 🌟"

"I've been working too hard lately, so I decided to take a short break at the St. Regis Qianhai OCT this weekend. The hotel's facilities are superb and the aesthetic is high-end, but the service was really subpar. I arrived at 2:50 PM, and the guy at the front desk checking me in was greasy, slow, and arrogant. Well, people have different personalities, so I didn't want to nitpick, and I just put up with it. Then I was told my room wasn't ready and I'd have to wait about half an hour. Around 3 PM is when I usually feel sleepy, and all I wanted was to check in quickly and catch a nap. But to keep my holiday mood intact, I put up with it again. So I sat in the lobby reading a book, waiting to check in. However, after waiting fifty minutes, other guests who were also waiting in the lobby had all checked in, and the greasy front desk guy had disappeared – no one was paying attention to me. After a bit more waiting, a female staff member noticed me and asked if I was waiting to check in. I said yes. She took my name to check, and in no time, found that my room was ready, then led me to the elevator. I was truly baffled – if it weren't for this lady, how much longer would that greasy guy have made me wait? On the way to the elevator, I was even more surprised. We ended up walking alongside a group of people viewing properties for sale. The sales agent was loudly introducing the development to several clients as they walked, taking up the entire hallway. The female staff member leading me to the elevator looked conflicted, and finally just led me straight through the middle of their group. To my surprise, this same group and I got into the same elevator. They continued to loudly discuss the property throughout the ride, which felt really low-class! Also, neither the butler nor the turndown service attendant had their phones on silent, which was very impolite. Lastly, at breakfast, no one showed me to a table or asked if I wanted coffee or tea. Overall, the service was quite disappointing."

"I specifically booked a sea-view room at the Hyatt Regency, and the 'glass sea' at桔钓沙 (Jǐ Diào Shā) is truly stunning! The hotel is quite large and beautiful. The butler service felt robotic and wasn't very helpful; when I mentioned a dead bug in the room that hadn't been cleaned for a while, they just told me to contact the front desk myself. They also told me to contact the front desk myself when I checked out and asked if I'd left anything behind. The cleanliness was generally subpar; there was a bug that looked like it had been dead for quite some time (I took a picture but won't post it), and the balcony bathtub was quite dirty (picture 4). I had planned to take a bath but decided against it."
