No. 1 of Luxury Hotels in Wuxi
Song draws from the palette of Eastern aesthetics and the refined taste of classical literati, shaping a lifestyle of Chinese elegant luxury wherever it resides. We believe travel is not merely arrival, but a serendipitous encounter with pleasures and delights. Song treats every guest as the master of the house, turning private spaces, exclusive privileges, and bespoke services into heartfelt comforts. Every Song Hotel is sited amid scenic landscapes and built with Song dynasty garden-making artistry, blending local character with Eastern elegance. Free from worldly cares, abundant in refined pleasures at Song, we await all who are willing to slow down. By the shores of Lake Tai and at the foot of Xuelang Mountain, a dream is woven with Jiangnan mist and rain. Song Hotel Wuxi is set within Sunac Cultural Tourism City, inspired by the Eight Sights of Lake Tai, Donglin Academy, Xuelang Mountain, and Meiyuan Garden. It weaves the cultural heritage of Wu and the poetry of Jiangnan into the very fabric of its architecture. Jiangnan and Huizhou styles converge here: palatial-official structures are stately and dignified, while white walls and dark tiles hold the softness of water and the stillness of mountains. In 2022, the hotel was named a “Jiangsu Premium Leisure Resort Hotel.” Take a black-canopied boat along the water right to your villa’s doorstep—gentle ripples and layered reflections make it feel like gliding through a Song dynasty lyric. Twenty-three courtyard villas, 77 suites, are grouped into four realms: Wenlin (Seeking the Forest), Yinxi (Drinking from the Stream), Xunyuan (Searching the Garden), and Guanhu (Gazing at the Lake). Each villa has its own private courtyard; open the door and see the water, open the window and step into a painting. Interior lighting is warm, objects simple and elegant, and a tea setting awaits you to sit and listen to the water. The Chinese restaurant and all-day dining restaurant serve seasonal Jiangnan flavours for every meal and every season. In the afternoon, a Song-style tea set offers pastries as delicate as small Song paintings. The hotel is within walking distance of Sunac Mall, Sunac Land, Taihu Show, Water World, Snow World, and Sea World; Gedaiqiao Metro Station is nearby, and Wuxi New District Station and Sunan Shuofang Airport are easily accessible. Yet perhaps you simply want to sit in the courtyard and daydream. Wake in a waterside villa, fall asleep cradled by the misty waves of Lake Tai. This is daily life at Song Hotel Wuxi.

"I stayed in a family room with my parents, thinking that a 'Golden Diamond' hotel (presumably a premium, high-tier hotel) would offer a better experience. However, it was just on par with a regular 5-star hotel, and in some aspects, even fell short of 5-star hotels with better service. First, the pros: The hotel environment is quite good, the rooms are spacious, and the entire property covers a large area. It's currently lotus season, so it's very beautiful. For a 'Golden Diamond' hotel, the price offers decent value for money. Now, for areas that could be improved: There were some blind spots in terms of cleanliness. For instance, there was dust accumulated on the curtains, the corners of the TV cabinet, and the first-floor balcony could have been cleaner. I understand that some outdoor areas naturally accumulate dust, but I'm mentioning it because the dust was quite noticeable, making it seem like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. After all, we're not staying in a 'camping style' place; this is a 'Golden Diamond' hotel. Also, the hotel might be a bit old, as some facilities show signs of aging. Regarding service: When I proactively asked about a room upgrade or a welcome amenity, the answer was 'none.' It's not that I'm trying to get a small perk, but my colleague stayed the previous Saturday and received a room upgrade, which raised my expectations. Despite booking a more expensive room than him, I didn't get any special treatment. Additionally, the electric buggy needs to be called at least 10 minutes in advance. We called only when we were fully ready, which led to a long wait. There were also some small details: There was no doorman when we arrived, though I saw one when we left. I originally wanted to experience the check-in by boat, but the butler said it was fully booked and offered to arrange a boat ride for breakfast the next day, which I thought was acceptable. However, during my check-in, the front desk agent next to me proactively offered a boat check-in to a guest who hadn't even booked it, and then escorted them away. I immediately questioned my own front desk agent about this. Although the overall service was okay afterward, the initial impression upon arrival is very important, as was the communication with the butler before check-in, which left my expectations a bit unmet, making the service feel very average. During my stay, the hotel pool was under maintenance, requiring a trip to the Crowne Plaza hotel, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the package included tickets to Sunac Land, but the park is currently undergoing maintenance, and many attractions are closed. Just a heads-up for others."

"Room facilities: A very handsome guy at the front desk helped us upgrade to a mountain-view room, 4917. Many thanks to him; the night view was absolutely stunning, full of National Day festive atmosphere. During the National Day holiday, there were various activities every day. We got to try making a sugar-blown horse 🐎 from malt sugar, which was quite fun. Breakfast: The selection was very rich. The soup dumplings were juicy and the meat was delicious; I ate several! The bread was exquisitely made, and every piece looked tempting! Room view: It felt like having a panoramic view of all the mountains. Ordering takeout required going downstairs to the first floor to pick it up, but getting bubble tea 🥤 was very convenient due to the downtown location. WiFi: They had a Dyson hairdryer and a JBL Bluetooth speaker. My two-night stay was excellent. The room cleaning auntie was also very polite and enthusiastic. I redeemed some vouchers from Trip.com, and if I come to Wuxi again, I will definitely stay here."

"This hotel's designer must have a profound misunderstanding of human beings. Here are a few examples: Exiting the elevator, I looked around for the room number signs, but couldn't find them. Then, I leaned closer and saw an exemplary 'energy-saving' notice... What would it hurt to install a light to help guests out? The bathroom doesn't even have an outlet for a hairdryer! The design actually expects you to blow dry your hair in the bedroom!! Is this designer *******? If not, then won't hair inevitably fall onto the bed? I ended up blow-drying my hair in the kitchen. Both bedside lamps can only be turned on and off together. Which couple always goes to bed and wakes up at the exact same time? ...It's truly beyond words, even three times the words wouldn't suffice. I can't even begin to express it all. On the other hand, the staff's service was excellent; that definitely deserves praise. Thank you!"

"This was my fourth stay, and this time I booked a deluxe lake view twin room on the 15th floor. It was pricey, but definitely worth it. The view outside the window was stunning, and having the desk face it made for a very pleasant experience while sipping tea. The automatic sensor Toto toilet was also quite convenient. I had two unexpected bonuses this time: first, the hotel provided complimentary tickets to Liyuan Garden, including a boat ride. The garden's side entrance was conveniently located near the hotel. Liyuan was small but exquisite, not crowded at all. Walking through the garden with a gentle breeze created a very peaceful atmosphere. Second, I discovered the hotel's buckwheat pillows. They were surprisingly firm and heavy, unlike typical soft pillows. I asked at the front desk and bought one for 98 yuan – excellent value for money."

Hotel near Taihu Lake Scenic Area,Wuxi
The Wuxi Taihu Hotel (Wuxi Taihu Fandian) is a garden style hotel located near scenic Taihu (Tai Lake) and a number of the area's popular sights. Over 250 guestrooms are complemented by an assortment of luxury villas. Each is equipped with international direct dial telephone, satellite TV, in-room safe and internet access, and many afford spectacular views over Taihu. A range of restaurants, bars and banquet halls serve a rich variety of dishes and drinks. The Taihu Hotel's function hall is equipped with an advanced audio visual system.Guests can also make full use of recreation facilities including an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna and massage center.

"I've stayed in many five-star hotels, but my recent stay at the Taihu Hotel still left me amazed. We booked a scenic triple room, and the first impression upon entering was how incredibly spacious it was. The room wasn't ostentatiously luxurious; instead, it exuded a calm, unhurried 'old money' elegance, as if time hadn't left its mark but had refined into a unique charm. I particularly loved the bathroom; bathing and showering were incredibly comfortable. The fatigue of travel slowly dissipated in the warm steam, and looking out at the trees and mountains, I suddenly felt that this is what a true vacation means: letting time slow down. The hotel's greenery coverage is reportedly 70%, and we even took a 10-minute sightseeing tour around the property. Along the way, lush trees, lakes, and buildings were intertwined. The wind gently brushed through the car window, creating a picturesque 'courtyard within courtyards' ambiance. Some reviews say Taihu Hotel is like a maze, but I found it to be a rather interesting experience. From the moment we stepped out of the car, a bellhop proactively helped us with our luggage and warmly guided us to the lobby. The entire process was natural and thoughtful. A good hotel, perhaps, isn't just about staying in a beautiful building, but about having someone take care of the trivialities of your journey from the moment you step through the door. There's one more thing I must praise separately – the Taihu Hotel's xiaolongbao (soup dumplings). These were the best xiaolongbao I've ever had in Wuxi. The skin was so thin it felt like it would break, each one as delicate as a work of art. When gently picked up, it felt as if one wrong move would disturb the abundant soup inside. The taste was fresh, fragrant, and tender, unfolding in layers – truly a delightful surprise. Breakfast was also delicious, especially the douhua (tofu pudding), so silken smooth with not a hint of roughness. Sitting there in the morning, slowly savoring a warm bowl of douhua, gazing at the tree shadows outside, felt incredibly pleasant. As the saying goes, 'The shimmering light on the water is beautiful on a clear day, and the misty mountain view is extraordinary in the rain.' The morning light by Taihu Lake must be just as gentle. Another point: if you're coming specifically for the fireworks show, staying at Taihu Hotel is really perfect. There's no need to rush for transportation after the show, nor to quickly leave amidst the crowds. The fireworks, the lake, the night, and this historic hotel intertwine, becoming an integral part of the journey. My only regret is that we booked too late. We originally wanted to stay at Taihu Hotel for the entire three-day Mid-Autumn Festival, but the rooms were already fully booked, so we could only stay for one night, which left us wanting more. I've stayed in many five-star hotels. Some make you feel luxurious, some convenient, some offer excellent service, but Taihu Hotel gave me a different feeling – it has its own character. It has the lake, the trees, the history, the vibrant life, and an unhurried tranquility. As I left, I was already thinking about when I could return next. Perhaps truly unforgettable hotels are like this: you arrive as a guest, but leave with a landscape etched in your heart. Highly recommended."

"My recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Wuxi City Centre completely exceeded my expectations, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Mya and Molly at the front desk! I arrived feeling a bit tired from my journey, and these two ladies immediately made me feel welcome. They were incredibly gentle and patient, not just going through the motions, and processed my check-in quickly. They thoughtfully asked about my travel plans and then, to my absolute delight, offered me a complimentary upgrade to a suite – a wonderful surprise I wasn't expecting at all! The upgraded suite was incredibly spacious, with a separate living room and bedroom, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a fantastic view. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. All the facilities were well-maintained and felt new, making my stay exceptionally relaxing. The hotel's location is also excellent, making it easy to find food and go shopping. Throughout my stay, Mya and Molly patiently answered all my questions with such genuine and gentle service, instantly easing my travel fatigue. "The hotel is right on Nanchang Street, making it very convenient to walk to the scenic area. We arrived by taxi, and the concierge staff did an excellent job. They were very proper, from opening the car door and handling luggage to providing directions and assisting with check-in. The butler service was also very thoughtful. A big thank you to Tina & Hailey. The breakfast was abundant and featured Wuxi local specialties like xiaolongbao and yulanbing. I'd suggest adding meat tangyuan as well. They also provided a honeycomb, so you could get fresh honey yourself. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to use the pool this trip. The room layout was a bit circuitous, a design issue."
