"The room itself was very comfortable. I was initially worried about two beds being pushed together, but it was actually fine. I've already provided feedback that the pizza in the restaurant was really not good; the crust was unpleasantly dry. However, breakfast was truly abundant and delicious. On the other hand, both check-in and check-out were incredibly slow, to the point of being frustrating. I really hope they train their staff better before they start. The queueing system was also very chaotic; they really need someone circulating to observe the situation and assist the next guest promptly. The housekeeping service was excellent, and the overall hotel environment was very pleasant. The shuttle bus was very convenient, making it easy to get to the Old Street from the back entrance. The bicycles were also handy, but please fix the handlebars."

"A hidden gem for healing in Wuyishan, truly relaxing for mind and body! Choosing J Residence for my Wuyishan trip was absolutely the right decision! The hotel just opened in 2025, so the facilities are brand new, and the environment is all about 'wellness and healing' – the moment I walked in, I felt everything slow down. The room faces the continuous mountain ranges in the distance, offering an incredible view; it's like a landscape painting when you open the curtains. What surprised me most were the wellness details in the room: not only a Himalayan salt lamp and a mugwort hammer, but you can also choose your favorite aromatherapy scent upon check-in. I slept so soundly at night with the sleep-inducing aromatherapy. The hotel's sound bowl healing and Eight-Section Brocade experiences were very professional; after them, I felt all my fatigue dissipate. The dining was also amazing; the East-meets-West breakfast buffet was extensive, and the various delicacies at the Chinese restaurant were exceptional. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the manager even added me on WeChat to proactively ask about my needs. For anyone looking to escape the city hustle and recharge, I highly recommend this place!"

"The environment is fantastic, directly facing Dawang Peak, and the scenery is breathtaking. When it rains, the misty fog adds an even more enchanting touch. The service from everyone, from the front desk and reception to the floor staff and restaurant personnel, was exceptional – warm, patient, and meticulous. Special shout-out to Mary Wu from customer service, who was also wonderful. While there were a few minor issues with the facilities, they were all proactively and promptly resolved, so it didn't detract from the overall experience. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, and the quality was excellent. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Wuyishan!"

"The hotel overall is quite good, resembling a garden hotel with a beautiful and peaceful environment, and a lovely backyard perfect for a leisurely stroll. You can see Dawang Peak right from your window. The mattress was comfortable, making it easy to fall asleep, and breakfast was decent. The room price was moderate. The parking lot is on the side of the hotel (belonging to the hotel) and isn't very large, accommodating about a dozen cars, but it's open-air and can get hot. We arrived around noon, and it was a bit stuffy, so initially, I wasn't too impressed with the hotel. However, the front desk staff was very enthusiastic and showed us the room type we had booked, saying, 'If it suits you, then check-in; if not, it's fine too.' Such service made us feel a bit guilty. After seeing the room, we thought it was acceptable, although we felt it didn't quite meet five-star standards, so we settled for it. By evening, and even the next morning, after a walk in the backyard, we felt the hotel was indeed good – away from the bustling city, tranquil, and suitable for a relaxing holiday. To get to the city center, you can take a trishaw; it's not expensive, costing no more than 20 RMB for a round trip. If the price is right, I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Wuyi Mountain."

The room was meticulously cleaned, the bedding was soft and spotless, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a very peaceful sleep. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, including both Chinese and Western dishes, all with fresh ingredients and delicious flavors – far surpassing other hotels in the same price range. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, check-in was efficient, and they were very quick to respond to any requests. The location is convenient for getting around and finding food. This place offers incredible value for money, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in town. Highly recommended!"

"First off, a big thank you to Wyndham Garden for the complimentary Oreos upon check-in! **Location:** It's a bit out of the way, but perfect for travelers who prefer peace and quiet. It's also very convenient for accessing the south entrance of the scenic area. **Room & Amenities:** The room facilities are comprehensive, including a hot spring pool and a gym, which really adds to guests' leisure time. My room type came with a drying rack, and the wardrobe was huge. However, some of the hangers in the wardrobe were a bit wonky, and the hairdryer in my room type was missing its nozzle. I'd recommend the hotel do a full check of all room types for this. **Breakfast:** The breakfast was rich and varied, and I loved that the breakfast restaurant had a kids' play area. My only minor suggestion would be to increase the variety of porridges. **Services:** The hotel offers pick-up/drop-off services, but you need to book them a day in advance. **Suggestions for Improvement:** I also suggest that the hotel display its awards more prominently, rather than keeping them locked away. It would be great if the mini-fridge in the rooms could be stocked with some carbonated drinks and low-alcohol beverages instead of being empty. The front desk area is a bit small. On a positive note, the fruit section at breakfast was excellent! As a small request for breakfast, could you possibly add some local Bian Rou (wontons) to the live cooking station? Looking forward to my next stay at Wyndham Garden Scenic South Entrance!"

"After comparing many hotels, I finally chose the Shangri-La Hotel. Its location is excellent, very close to the South Gate of Wuyishan Scenic Area, only a ten-minute drive away. We could return to the hotel every midday to rest before heading back to the scenic area. It's also just 800 meters from the Sangu Old Street pedestrian area, which has many delicious night market food options. The hotel itself has a courtyard-style design with an elegant ambiance. The lobby is spacious and comfortable, offering cozy seating areas and complimentary tea, making you feel right at home. The outdoor pool is also quite large. The room decor is very inviting, and it comes with a tea set and Da Hong Pao tea for brewing. The two 1.35m twin beds were very comfortable, especially suitable for families with two children. The room was also very quiet. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the breakfast spread was very generous. Highly recommended!"

"I initially avoided this place, thinking it was one of those old, outdated state guesthouses. But on our first day in Wuyi, we came here for dinner and found the ambiance absolutely fantastic – a real hidden gem. So, we specifically switched to stay here on our last night. It's incredibly peaceful. As soon as you enter the lobby, you're greeted by the aroma of Da Hong Pao tea, as they use a roasting machine to diffuse the scent. The rooms aren't like those old state guesthouses; they look quite new, or at least very well-maintained. They provide Atelier Cologne toiletries and a Dyson hairdryer. You could easily stay here for a relaxing retreat without even leaving the hotel! The breakfast spread is generous, and the Chinese restaurant's food is also excellent. Since our high-speed train ticket was for later in the afternoon, we waited in the tea room after check-out. The staff constantly checked in, asking if we'd like some tea or snacks! They were incredibly attentive! A special shout-out to Joan and Shuyi for their thoughtful and meticulous service!"

The kids could run and play freely in the yard, while adults could sit nearby, sip tea, and relax without constantly having to watch them. It truly makes for a stress-free family trip. The room is super spacious, and the bed is large enough that you don't have to worry about the kids tossing and turning. The bedding is soft and clean, and the attention to detail is excellent.
