Many years ago, Luzhou Hotel was once a first-tier high-end hotel in Luzhou. I went there with my family elders to attend a wedding in the 1990s. At that time, it was not an exaggeration to describe it as breathtaking. But later, with the rise of Jiucheng Hotel, Nanyuan, etc., this place declined.
Location: I thought about where Guihua Street was before, and it turned out to be next to Jiangcheng and Jiale Square. In the old city center, Huilongwan is across the bridge.
Facilities: Although it is facing the street and the windows are open, it is not noisy at night, but the wall sound insulation is very general. The conversations next door after 11 pm and 5 am can be heard clearly. Other facilities and equipment are relatively new, but there are some problems with the design of the wash basin and faucet. There is water everywhere on the wash table.

I booked the cheapest room. The picture of the Mingyue Twin Room did not match the room. The window of the room faced the elevator directly, and there was no screen and the buckle of the glass window was broken. I was super shocked! There is a camera in the window facing the elevator. When a cleaning car passes by, it feels like an earthquake while you are lying on the bed. You are speechless. Moreover, the sound insulation between the doors is very poor. People passing by the window talk, and the cleaning people at the door talk. The sound of water being used in the next room... was too noisy. Sometimes the smell of smoke seeps into the room and is difficult to dissipate. The introduction also says about separation of wet and dry parts [laughing and crying], but there is no separation in this room! The advantage is that the room is hygienic, the water sprinkler is large enough, and the heating is powerful. It's okay if you just stay for one night, but if you have high requirements, other room types are recommended.

Despite its name, railway station isn't that close. You need to take a taxi (or walk 30 minutes).
Check-in process for foreigners will be very tiring (we had to wait 40 minutes in hotel lobby with extremely tired two kids, being questioned by staff about many things. We were asked 'why did you visit here', I thought this is a very ride question. Hotel should welcome guests instead of interrogating them especially when they're super tired after a long day. I'm not blaming the staff as they seem to be doing what they were told to do (protocol I suppose). But we didn't face such interrogating in any of the other hotels in China so I'm not sure why.
Another inconvenience, the laundry facility doesn't have a dryer.. We ended up with a load of wet clothes after using the washing machine.. So be aware.
