Pet-friendly Hotels in Lyon

I like it. I recommend it. I want to stay again next time. It's very good. It's okay, I'm happy Location is good too It's friendly and clean. I highly recommend it.

I was fortunate enough to visit The Boscolo in August of this year (22) and have to say I wasn’t disappointed. The staff were welcoming and very helpful and the first impression of the hotel is fabulous. The room was beautiful, clean and very well finished with lovely comfortable beds. The treats left were very welcome too. The pool area was wonderful and the meal we had in the evening, around the pool, was exceptionally good. I would love to visit Nice again and if I do the Boscolo would be my first choice!

I stayed here in August and November and am returning in December. (Visiting my daughter on her erasmus year). On both visits to date I have found the rooms, whilst compact clean.and well maintained. The beds have been very comfortable. The rooms have a decent hairdryer, fab showers, free wifi, tv and tea and coffee facilities, which the staff are only too happy to top up. Breakfast is mainly continental (although there is bacon, sausage and egg available - just not my choice) lovely and fresh selection of meats, cheese, fruit, cereal, breads, juices and hot drinks - self serve. The staff, different on both visits, have always been welcoming and friendly. Location wise - perfect, close to trams and buses and easy to access to main train station. Easy to access all sights of interest. My husband and I look forward to revisiting in early December.. the only downside the price in December (during festival of lights) is nearly treble... but that appears to be a similar trend in other hotels at this time. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

The hotel's catering is of high quality, the breakfast is rich and varied, and the dinner dishes are exquisite and delicious, allowing me to enjoy a feast of gourmet food. It is close to the station and Carrefour, and the transportation and shopping are very convenient. There is a kitchen, and the kitchen utensils can be used by yourself. There is also a paid parking lot, but there are not many parking spaces, so you have to try your luck to see if there are vacancies.

We had a very pleasant two-night stay here. The staff is EXCELLENT, very helpful, very good English (since I speak no French). We got one of the larger rooms, which was very nice (looks just like the one in the first picture above). The weather was not too warm so we didn't test the AC. The bed was a touch too hard, but not bad. My main complaint would be the oddity of having to walk through the shower to get to the vanity & toilet. Very strange! The free afternoon apertif was pleasant. The breakfast buffet was very nice. We did not eat dinner there. This is situated near a bridge over to the old town. Nice, as it was conveniently located, but not in the crowded areas. I would definitely stay here if we visit Lyon again.

15min walk from Lyon Part Dieu. Due to construction works, walking and dragging luggage became challenging and not as direct. There was a huge Westfield Mall where you can shop and dine. 10min walk to car rental office. There was a pickup area for us to load up luggage to our rental car just beside the hotel. Check-in process was a bliss. Staff was friendly. Sanitisers were always available. Room was relatively much smaller than Paris hotel. Barely enough space for 2x large luggage. Nevertheless, room was clean and dust-free. Toilet had decent space. Recommended for as a stopover hotel. Probably a night stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. On the plus side: superior double very spacious. Aircon worked. Bed very comfortable with good quality linen. WiFi good. Water and coffee machine. Lift made access to upper floors easy. Lovely bathroom with good quality towels. Staff charming and efficient. Communication good. Great location - right in the middle of Presqu’ile, loads of restaurants, bars nearby and easy to get to all the sights. Ten mins by taxi from Part Dieu. Good price/value for money. Not so great: very little storage space. Shower floor slippery - not good if you have balance is not great. Had to put a towel down. Some things looked a little tired and in need of some tlc. Can’t comment on breakfast. The breakfast room is down a spiral staircase which I couldn’t manage. Never mind. Got a good breakfast elsewhere. On balance would recommend this hotel. We loved out stay at Hotel Carlton-Lyon. It was a wonderful surprise! We spent 5 days here in a room with a king-size bed. The only downside is the lack of storage for clothes in the room, but we got creative. If you are expecting US-sized rooms you will be disappointed, but for European rooms we were very happy. The bathroom is large with a shower/bath that has great water pressure and temperature. The mattress and pillows are comfy. The air conditioner was great during a very warm week. The hotel is amazingly quiet. I never heard anything! Ride the beautifully renovated elevator. Breakfast is so wonderful- include it in the reservation. They have everything you could want for breakfast from bacon and eggs to meat and cheese, fresh fruit, granola, yogurt and PASTRIES. The staff are all terrific, but get a drink at the bar (an old-fashioned if you like them) and then go again. Shout out to bartender, Claudia, who made our trip so special. Not only did she recommend a great local restaurant for a Saturday night but then called them to squeeze us in for a last minute reservation at Bouchon des Cordeliers. Much appreciated after a more than 24 hour travel day. This location can't be beat. It is walking distance to so many things including Vieux Lyon (~5 min) and the art museum (15 min). It is a less than 5 minute walk to the bus. Take the C5 bus to Parc de Tete or the International City Center convention center. SO easy! You want to shop? This location has everything... Hermes, Louis Vuitton, UNIGLO, North Face... More nearby cafes, brasseries, boulangeries, patisseries and bouchons than you can image. Rent a bike or an electric scooter. Fun, easy, and very convenient. All in all, we loved this place and would definitely come back. I can't speak to the price/value because I was at a convention and got convention rates that seemed very reasonable. Stay here- you won't be disappointed.

This is a fun property. It's an old building that was a hospital before it was converted. The building is spectacular. It was also very clean. The rooms are quite large - by any standard and especially French standards. The space was also very well utilized. The bathroom was similarly large and well laid out. The location is excellent - near the rivers and lots of tourist areas. It's an expensive area but that's not unexpected. The wifi was good and the A/C worked well. The airport is outside the city so it costs about 50-60€ each way. The property was very quiet. They did a nice job insulating the windows to block traffic noise. Bottom line, I would absolutely return.
