Beautifully appointed rooms. Room 114 gorgeous sea view room with very small balcony. The bathroom is tiny. Room 118 is extremely spacious with side sea view and large bathroom. The spa area is very good and we enjoyed the warm jacuzzi. Varied breakfast made to order and they were happy to modify eggs Benedict to eggs royale which was most appreciated. The yoghurt with granola was deliciously creamy. Now to the bar:- we ordered a Baileys. “We don’t have that but we can offer you this which is not quite a Baileys”. Amaretto was also ordered. The same response “… not quite an Amaretto”. I laughingly responded that “when we pay it will not quite be a payment!” Actually this quite lets it down as a hotel of this calibre. At least if you are not stocking the genuine article then please try to source a more realistic comparison. Quite easy as I have done it. Overall though I still think it is a lovely hotel, excellent location and very friendly staff.

We have now stayed at the Grand Hotel seven times in the last couple of years. We choose to keep coming back for many reasons. For me, St. Anne’s-on-Sea was a favourite destination for happy childhood holidays in the 1970s. I still love it. It’s kept its essential British seaside town characteristics, with its wide stretch of sandy beach and huge marine horizon, broad promenade, and many handsome Victorian buildings of which the Grand Hotel is one of the best examples. Internally the building retains its spacious Victorian grandeur without compromising modern standards of comfort, convenience and cosiness. It is obviously maintained with meticulous attention to detail and is spotlessly clean. We have become used to seeing many of the same members of staff at each visit. It’s reassuring, a sure indication of a well-run business with owners that must be providing fair terms of employment and good working conditions for their employees. The staff are all and always professional, friendly and efficient. The excellent food and service at Café Grand keep us coming back for more. The menu is varied and more than sufficient for all tastes, but it is particularly important to us that Café Grand currently has a chef with an apparent special interest in plant-based food. Providing plant-based dishes for us on request, the chef has produced some truly wonderful and varied vegan cuisine, prepared not just with skill, but clearly also with imagination and genuine passion.

Had a special weekend celebrating my birthday and meeting up with family, This family owned Hotel is a must for a special occasion. Very comfortable rooms, lovely food and it's best asset, wonderful staff. The location is perfect for all the interesting sights in the surrounding area, including Lytham Hall, Fairhaven Lake, a long promenade with easy access and walking, Les Dawson & Bobby Ball statues. Lytham is a vibrant yet peaceful place with nice shops and coffee shops. Our daughter lives in the area and recommended this hotel to us, she also took this lovely photo of the swans - they obviously like it there too!

Sunday lunch catch up with a close friend. I’d not been to the Grand for years since which time it’s been renovated to an extremely high standard. Couldn’t fault the place. Beautiful calming classy decor, very hospitable staff with just the right amount of attentiveness. We both chose the roast beef dinner which was lovely. We had an accompanying bottle of delicious red wine. All pretty reasonably priced for just over £90 for the two of us. Will definitely return

Had lunch here today. Friendly greeting on arrival & waiter was really attentive & pleasant. Nice fixed priced (£20 for 2 courses) menu as I don’t eat meat I would like to see more vegetarian options but as it’s a set menu with not many dishes this is understandable. I ordered off the main menu ( Winter Supperfood salad) beautiful . Really well cooked & the flavours were amazing. My husband had pea & mint ravioli which was also really nice. Could not fault the experience. After reading some reviews was a bit apprehensive but will definitely be going again thank you ☺️

My wife and I stayed at the Grand for 3 nights, mid week, and I can honestly say that it was first class. The room, hotel and particularly the staff were great. I have a medical problem, dietary and the staff assisted me greatly in providing food to suit my needs. Nothing was too much trouble, we were treated like old friends. I can only say that we could not fault it. Full marks to all at the hotel and our big thanks.

I have lost count of the amount of times my son and myself have stayed here. We are always welcomed with a friendly smile and made to feel at home. Every member of the team goes out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay. I can't speak highly enough of this hotel and I always recommend it to anyone who is thinking of staying in the area. Many happy memories have been made here and I am sure there are many more to come.
