This hotel is located in an excellent location, directly on the Maas, right next to the footbridge, which connects the Wyck district with the old town and center. So you are really in the middle. The hotel sprays an acidified 80er-Jahre-Charme, everything is something old, everything is a little tired. We found check-in and check-out very difficult. When check-out, only one person was there, although you had to know that many guests would leave the hotel by 12:00. A cravater was long wrong without appreciating the very long serpent even one look. Finally, he fell down to help check out. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar, but the latter closes early, the slum drink must be removed from your leg. The minibar in our room was empty. All costs extra (parking, powerful WiFi, etc.) All in all is conditional to recommend.

If you choose for an arrangement , so including breakfast and the so-called three-fold dinner, you should not expect the best of them . First, we got a room on the first floor, just above the entrance .. The hotel's worst room, while there were rooms available. The so-called three-way menu is not very good and very little. Moreover, the cook didn't want to make the orange bavary and we just got deep freezers from the supermarket with a layer of chocolate sauce... terrible! The privilege was also invaluable and consisted of a so-called champignon soup with six sprays of tauge and two champignons... I felt very insulted that this was offered to me... that she dare to serve that is scandalous... We were allowed to sit only at a certain place in the restaurant because we had a arrangement and were treated as a little as t****erang guests.. This is very bad! The servants are not guest-friendly and friendly , I recommend them to take a course with their colleagues at the van der Valk Hotel. Moreover, breakfast was good, just standard as everywhere, but as soon as you order something extra, you will find cheating. I had paid a 3-day arrangement of €335 and will not do this anymore.

I booked a deluxe one-bedroom room. The room is big and touching The poor size of European hotels everyone knows In fact, the concept of the hotel is similar to that of a shared apartment. Yes, the hotel is in the old town, wherever it is convenient, it is an old monastery remodeled. There is a Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel. The key is that Maastricht is very beautiful, there are not many people visiting in winter, and even less Chinese tour groups. Because of the junction of the three cities of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, it is very international. Shopping is great, Belgians are running over to buy things. Our room on the 4th floor was facing the train station but very quiet in the night. The room was clean. The bed was big and comfortable. There were 3 windows. Like the round table with 2 chairs, we really could sit for a drink. Breakfast was great. Receptions were friendly and helpful. We pre-booked the underground parking so convenience when we arrived. Lots of restaurants around the hotel and from the hotel to City Hall. The only think that I don’t like was the bath tub was small and narrow so when I showered the shower curtain touched my arm all the time.

We are going to a big concert in Maastricht in july (2023), where lots of people will be attending, so I booked this hotel on *********** since they offered a superb location and at the same time cheaper price that other hotels for the specific date. Half an hour after receiving confirmation of the reservation per mail and a welcome mail from the hotel itself, I was called from the reception at the hotel and told that they had no rooms available on the date that I wanted. Apparently they had made a mistake with their ”availability on *********** so now they had to cancel guests”. The excuse came across as odd to me because all other hotels in Maastricht at that specific date had higher prices than them on ***********, so I got a sense that they just forgot to adapt their prices on the site, and now the revenue management suddenly realised that they could get much more for their rooms due to the big number of guests coming to town for the concert. The concert dates was announced a week earlier, so they had plenty of time to adapt either availability or prices it would seem. But now, I have to cancel my booking and go for the higher priced hotels because the options are now super limited. So they cost me money basically due to their poor handling of their own accommodation.

It's very cheap for such a hotel room. It was a small room with a bathroom and toilet. The bathroom was hanging all the screws, the towel was hanging out of the screws, the shower was dirty of the walls could use a paint, the head support of the bed was broken, the leather was bladed, the spray on the bed was smooth. At the front door the doorbell was broken when you walk through it you need to look for your clothes not to break. It's very expensive for such a room. This makes the whole atmosphere very cozy and charming and in touch with what you would expect when visiting Maastricht. The location is perfect facing de Virjthof square, with a municipal parking garage just crossing the street and in the middle of everything worth visiting in the city. Lot of restaurants just around the corners. We had a superior suite, generous in size, with a bathroom with an unusual layout due to the bedroom being in what I guess was a former dining room. The shower cabin was very nice and everything worked well. AC with 2 equipments in bedroom and living room worked well as did internet. Breakfast was exceptionally good. Served not in a buffet style because the hotel is very small, but with high quality ingredientes and everything you might desire. The guy running the breakfast was very kind and efficient. Check out was done quickly and with no problems. Check in could have been more explicit regarding information about certain limitations of the hotel having nobody in reception after 18:00. Concierge service is non existent. The Spa is in the modern add on building. Tasteful, modern, with a plunge pool and saunas, it makes a good impression. At night the breakfast room is used as a restaurant with a charming patio. Conclusion : a charming European boutique hotel with modern amenities, modern decor, housed in old preserved buildings, with a nice spa, limited reception service and very good breakfast.

A beautiful place to stay - friendly, welcoming staff, a spacious room and an excellent breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights in April/May and were sorry to leave! We arrived around 10pm - later than expected due to delays on the train from Brussels - and checked in at the nearby Hotel Grote Gracht as the Sint Jacob is only open for check-in to 4pm. Everything went very smoothly and it was just a short walk between the 2 hotels. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, including a fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also spacious, with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with the offer of bacon and eggs cooked individually for you. A wonderful range of fresh bread, sweet pastries, different cereals and muesli, fresh fruit, cheese and meat. We would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay in the historic centre of Maastricht.

A beautiful place to stay - friendly, welcoming staff, a spacious room and an excellent breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights in April/May and were sorry to leave! We arrived around 10pm - later than expected due to delays on the train from Brussels - and checked in at the nearby Hotel Grote Gracht as the Sint Jacob is only open for check-in to 4pm. Everything went very smoothly and it was just a short walk between the 2 hotels. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, including a fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also spacious, with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with the offer of bacon and eggs cooked individually for you. A wonderful range of fresh bread, sweet pastries, different cereals and muesli, fresh fruit, cheese and meat. We would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay in the historic centre of Maastricht.

For a friend, Macheng is the only hotel without diamonds. It seems to be a hotel with a historical building. I like this recommendation of tone and historical sense. But the friend said that it was not as good as the crown by the river looked at the atmosphere, mainly because the room was remodeled from the interior of the building, and the room was not as good as the international hotel.

If you choose for an arrangement , so including breakfast and the so-called three-fold dinner, you should not expect the best of them . First, we got a room on the first floor, just above the entrance .. The hotel's worst room, while there were rooms available. The so-called three-way menu is not very good and very little. Moreover, the cook didn't want to make the orange bavary and we just got deep freezers from the supermarket with a layer of chocolate sauce... terrible! The privilege was also invaluable and consisted of a so-called champignon soup with six sprays of tauge and two champignons... I felt very insulted that this was offered to me... that she dare to serve that is scandalous... We were allowed to sit only at a certain place in the restaurant because we had a arrangement and were treated as a little as t****erang guests.. This is very bad! The servants are not guest-friendly and friendly , I recommend them to take a course with their colleagues at the van der Valk Hotel. Moreover, breakfast was good, just standard as everywhere, but as soon as you order something extra, you will find cheating. I had paid a 3-day arrangement of €335 and will not do this anymore.

Yes, the hotel is in the old town, wherever it is convenient, it is an old monastery remodeled. There is a Chinese restaurant opposite the hotel. The key is that Maastricht is very beautiful, there are not many people visiting in winter, and even less Chinese tour groups. Because of the junction of the three cities of the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium, it is very international. Shopping is great, Belgians are running over to buy things. Classical architecture, beautiful lakes, and the “Paradise Bookstore” rebuilt by the church.

Location in nice area near the train station. Lots of shops and restaurants out the door, Room and bathroom both good size and very clean. Air conditioner worked great. We at breakfast twice at Harry’s. Very good! Coffee maker and mini refrigerator in the room were much appreciated, We would definitely stay here again. Only small complaint- there are no Fraser’s anywhere. Bedside tables with drawers would be great.
