using the Braeside Website I had made a mistake when booking, but a quick phone call to Andrew & it was sorted. Such a helpful person & that's before we had the pleasure of meeting him. We chose the Gardeners Cottage for 3 nights. The property is located on a road perpendicular to Mt Macedon Rd. As such it is very quiet. The property is beautiful with plenty of old trees & some new ones too. It's a lovely property to walk around & there are 2 resident alpacas with their own paddock up the back as well. A bucket of food to feed them was left on our verandah. Car parking is out the front of the cottage. Graciously greeted with lots of info & a tour of our cottage. The Gardeners Cottage is spacious for 2 people with everything provided that was needed, even down to a dish for spent tea bags (how often do we drip the tea bag trying to get it into the bin!) & torches on the bedside tables, just in case... Andrew's attention to detail was much appreciated. Generous & high quality provisions to cater for breakfast were provided in the fridge. Juices, muesli, yogurt, eggs from the resident chooks, bacon, butter, bread, jam . Theres an electric fry pan & egg poacher, toaster & electric jug, microwave too. Plenty of crockery & cutlery Theres a wood fire, which was going when we arrived, & air con if needed . Plenty of openable windows. Furniture was comfortable & the bed, fitted with electric blankets, was fabulous. Everything was in good working order & Wifi works well in the cottage. The ensuite is a good size with a shower recess is easily accessible. Plenty of toilettries & extra towels are provided. We made sure we had time on our last afternoon to enjoy our cottage & the property. It was afterall 1 of the best places we have ever stayed at. Thank you Andrew.
