Mid City Motor Inn
"The surrounding environment is good and the hotel looks good, but the room is quite different from the appearance. It is a half-renovated youth hostel family room with many old traces. The good thing is that the bed is clean and comfortable, and the hygiene other than the bed is very average. The so-called breakfast is some bagged snacks that can be taken back to the room. We didn't take it when we checked in because there was no reminder. At night, I remembered to ask the front desk to lock the door after get off work, and I saw the "breakfast" on the table inside through the glass. There are plenty of parking spaces, but the parking spaces in the yard are not paved roads."
Mantra Mackay
"Due to Xmas period there was no room service, housekeeping or restaurant available. This was disclosed 4 days prior to arrival. The rooms are old and the bed is certainly not a queen size. Our kettle didn’t work and due to limited staff s not replaced until our last day. We used a book to hold the power on for a coffee. Woken Xmas night to be evacuated, guests waited patiently outside for about 30mins to be advised false alarm we can return to rooms. No apology or compensation offered. Wont be rushing back"

Shakespeare Motel

Rydges Mackay Suites
"Absolute pleasure staying here. All boxes ticked. Showers were on point, the restaurant down stairs was absolutely Devine. Definitely worth eating at."
Discovery Parks - Mackay
"This is an older park with quite a few permanent and working people. The larger pool was being worked on but the other pool was nice, although small. There are wetlands around the park, which is nice, but there was a pile of dead fish sitting on the ground when we went walking. The park itself was okay in terms of cleanliness and maintenance, but there was a bit of work going on, so it may get better. The site was easy to get into and generally quiet. It’s was a nice stay but nothing really special. The staff were very friendly though, and patrons were also nice."
Paradise Lodge Motel
"Not a bad spot for a stop over"
Coral Cay Resort
"Stopped over for a night during my trip. Parking was easy, it was quiet, and the environment and cleanliness were all pretty standard. There are places to eat within a few minutes' drive. I didn't go out after checking in at night, so I didn't really get a full impression."

BIG4 Mackay Blacks Beach Holiday Park
"We had a lovey 6 days and nights at Blacks Beach. Our site was lovely and flat, a drive through site, we even had a glimpse of the ocean from our van door. The staff at check in were lovely and very helpful. The ground staff were also very pleasant and helpful. We only had a very short walk to the most beautiful clean beach. The amenities were extremely clean. We didn’t use the lovely BBQ area or the pool but they looked clean. The park generally was very quiet even though most nights it appeared full."
Mackay Seabreeze Apartments
"Un clean, un friendly"
Pacific Sands Apartments Mackay
"The room was incredibly small! It was the smallest and most expensive room I'd ever stayed in."

MainStay Suites Mackay
"I travel for work very frequently and feel like ACR Mackay are the only hotel group who appreciate loyal customers. The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are lovely and thoughtful, and I really appreciate the effort they make to welcome back return customers :)"
Comfort Resort Blue Pacific
"We booked a beach front unit and so pleased we did as from what we could seen few other units had any outside seating. The grounds are immaculate , nice grassed area directly in front of one of the cleanest beaches we have ever visited. There are electric BBQ’s , picnic tables, and sun lounges all for guest use. Our unit was older style but had everything needed, how ever it could do with a bit of a paint job, and the shower needs updating. The shower has 2 shower heads, both attached to the shower walls it would have been far better if one of the shower heads was the type that has a hand held attachment. There is an excellent washer and separate dryer that work very well. Sadly there was one major issue. There is no A/C in the bedroom. There is an A/C in the sitting / kitchen area but it does not push cool air down to the bedroom. As you walk from the kitchen/sitting area down the small hall, as you reach the bathroom you are hit by a wall of heat from the bathroom which is next to the bathroom. The bedroom does have a fan, but it just pushes hot air around the bedroom. We tried turning up the A/C in the kitchen /Sitting area up but that didnt help, we tried opening the bedroom window and turning the fan on high but again it did little to cool the bedroom, which made sleeping very difficult."
Tropic Coast Motel
"Comfortable older motels with undercover parking. Onsite laundry, pub over the road and a takeaway a few doors down. Good stopover point. Plenty of pots and pans but could do with a sharp knife for food prep. Used by workers who tended to leave very early but as we were only there two nights not too much of an issue."
White Lace Motor Inn Mackay
"Very convenient location and good value for a night or two anytime"
Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel
"Maybe I was given the wrong room. The kitchen faces the bed and there is a mirror on the bedside cabinet. Ctrip said it was more than 50 square meters, but the actual price was more than 20 square meters."
International Lodge Motel
"Great location in the center of town! The staff were so friendly, and my room was spotlessly clean. Perfect for walking to nearby shops and cafes. Highly recommend for a comfortable, central stay!"
Alara Motor Inn
"Couldn’t fault anything. Clean. Cool aircon. Comfortable bed. Would stay here again."
