Knights Inn Madera ★★
"Room good, unfortunately the whole time of the water hang dropped. Handtucks enough. We sleeped well, windows could be opened, street just next to, did not disturb the duck."
Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn ★★★
"A nice hotel on the way to Yosemite. It has two pools: indoor and outdoor. Breakfasts are decent, and you can even make your own waffles."
The Pines Resort ★★★
"Nice view and good for couple and the sun set here is amazing though beware of bears."
Days Inn by Wyndham Chowchilla Gateway to Yosemite ★★
SureStay Hotel by Best Western Chowchilla Yosemite ★★
"I chose this hotel on the way to Yosemite. It's a typical motel. It's not bad for one night's stay. The room is clean and breakfast is provided, but the air conditioner is very noisy."
Studio 6 Suites Madera, CA - Yosemite ★★
"I walked into the room and it smelled horrible. there was no table and no chairs. Their ice machine does not work but I did find 2 half empty ice trays from Dollar Tree in the freezer. the TV was hanging crooked. the pillows on the bed if put together would have a small 1. the sheets and mattress covers were stained and little black bugs were found on each layer of bedding. they weren't bed bugs but still, who would want to sleep with any bug. the bath tub was filthy and the shower head has brownish stuff on it. I booked another motel. The manager never contacted me nor did I get any money back. so if you want a smelly, dirty room Studio 6 is the place to go. The pictures they show on the site are far from the ones I've included."
Yosemite Southgate Hotel & Suites ★★★
"This hotel is quite close to Yosemite, and the room was very spacious. The front desk staff were also very welcoming. The breakfast was just okay, but honestly, American hotel breakfasts aren't usually great anyway; it filled me up."
Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino ★★★
"This trip was a lot of fun."
The Oakhurst Inn at Yosemite ★★
"The room is normal, the hygiene is based on the domestic B&B standards, a typical motel. It is a good choice for a short stay after coming down from Yosemite, American breakfast, and a spacious parking lot."

Hampton Inn & Suites Madera
"Quiet and clean. I stayed in room 314 on the third floor, next to the elevator, and didn't hear any noise. The hotel is right next to Highway 99, which is very convenient. The free breakfast is OK, and the lobby also provides free oranges, apples, and tea and coffee. The Wi-Fi signal is good👍."
Fairfield Inn & Suites Oakhurst Yosemite
"This is the closest Marriott hotel to the scenic area. The town has everything you need, from gas to food and accommodation. The hotel breakfast is also pretty good."
Hampton Inn Oakhurst-Yosemite
"The room was clean and tidy, perfect for a short family trip with kids. The only drawback was that the soundproofing wasn't great, so we were sometimes disturbed. Also, the hotel doesn't have charging facilities, which isn't very friendly for Tesla owners."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites OAKHURST-YOSEMITE PARK AREA by IHG
"Only one hour trip to Yosemite National Park. Nice breakfast and clean public areas."
Yosemite Sierra Inn
"Good room location, friendly front desk service"
A Bed of Roses
WorldMark Bass Lake
"This timeshare was just remodeled. It is beautiful and spacious. We loved staying there. It is near to Yosemite. While Kings Canyon NP is a drive, it can serve as a great central location. We loved the lake being so close. We were lucky enough to get a lake view"
Château du Sureau
"This gem is located just over 90 minutes from the central Yosemite Valley. It provides all the comforts of the best B&Bs, like in room welcome wine & treats, comfortable beds, great dining, and exceptional service. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and great service at the intimate Cellar restaurant."
Sierra Meadows
"Beautiful village; I had a very good experience here. It takes 1.30 hours to reach Yosemite. The staff is very helpful."
Mountain Trail Lodge and Vacation Rentals
"The bathroom is too small and the towels have a little strange smell. The heating is sufficient but a little loud. The only drawback is that the bathroom is too small for bathing. The house is a little old and the TV is also old, but it is worth the price."
Queen's Inn by the River
"Clean and bright, with comfortable chairs and tables at the back, it's an unforgettable place to sit in the evening and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the woods and the afterglow of the sunset."
Narrow Gauge Inn
"Not far from the south entrance of Yosemite National Park, there's a row of houses along the road, with one or two more rows following the hillside. Although the rooms aren't large, they have heating and hot water, making them quite comfortable and suitable for overnight stays. This would be convenient for visiting Sequoia National Park the next day. We drove an hour from the valley to get here in the evening, and when we set off at 9 am the next day, we were surprised to find ourselves queuing for two hours just to get into the south entrance. I recommend leaving early; the staff queuing for park entry is very organized. We valued our time, and after visiting the Sequoias and Glacier Point, we didn't get back to San Francisco until 11:30 pm. If we had arrived earlier, we would have greatly reduced the risk of traffic accidents."
