I arrived at Madrid Airport late at night and went straight to the hotel.
I booked a double room, and I made sure to check the details (city view) and the photo that there was a window with a city view on the side, so I thought that was the case and checked in.
I was assigned to the 6th floor.
The 6th floor was the top floor, and when I entered the room, the ceiling was very high and there were no windows other than the skylight...
It's surrounded by walls on all four sides, and the blinds on the skylight don't seem to work at all even when I use the remote control to see if they work or not...
I don't know if they gave me that room because I came late or if I was racially discriminated against because I was Asian.
I couldn't ask because I'm not fluent in English. If you read the review and check in after making a reservation,
Ask for a city view room, not a room with a skylight on the 6th floor...
The photo was posted as if it had a city view with a window next to the room, but there was no explanation at all that the room was surrounded by walls on four sides with a skylight, so I was really disappointed and embarrassed.
Of course, I was satisfied with the location, so the skylight view... I came here just looking at the cloudy sky in Madrid;;
