Lanna Oriental Mae Rim

Decided to try a hotel outside the city and stumbled upon this gem! It made me completely forget about modern styles. The Lanna traditional decor is enchanting and truly unique. The atmosphere is lush and cool, very refreshing. My room had all the amenities, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. This place perfectly preserves its local charm without compromising on comfort. Highly recommend!

A terrible accommodation experience. The facilities were extremely dilapidated, the room was on the third floor but there was no elevator, there was no staff assistance at all, and the breakfast was also terrible… The same staff member worked at the front desk and made breakfast; I didn't see anyone else…

The hotel room bathroom frequently lacked hot water. After several days of repairs, it was finally restored to a normal level. However, even with hot water, the water pressure was extremely low, making showering very difficult. Controlling the hot water was also very challenging; it would be very hot for a while, then completely dry if you were lazy, requiring a constant cycle of this. Breakfast was average, including porridge, bread, and rice. The hotel's location was very remote, only convenient for outdoor activities. Activities in the city required a drive of over 45 minutes. For the first day or two, hailing a taxi was troublesome; many times, drivers wouldn't accept orders through ride-hailing apps, and there were no cars available, requiring long waits. However, the situation improved in the following days when we hired a 10-seater vehicle to accompany us all day. But on the last night, for some reason, they didn't clean our room. We had clearly put up a "clean room" sign on the door, but when we returned to the hotel that night, they had turned the sign upside down, and the room still hadn't been cleaned. We had no idea why. Strangely, the hotel staff were very polite when they met us. This experience of staying at this hotel was truly a new experience. I never knew there were hotels like this in the world. This experience is truly unforgettable, and I hope I will never have a similar experience again!

We booked two rooms, both were very nice, clean and hygienic, and the service was excellent.

I really like the atmosphere here. Every time I come to Chiang Mai, I always stay here. The staff are very nice and the rooms are clean.
