First of all, let me inform that this is my second stay at the El Mouradi Hotel in Mahdia. For information, the hotel was downgraded in 2025 to a four star. We spent (wife and myself) 8 nights from June 15 to June 23, 2026. Only All-inclusive and All-inclusive soft schemes are offered. On the overall, we enjoyed our stay: good food, nice swimming pool, clean beach with plenty of umbrellas, a different show every night (7 shows repeated on Mondays) and most important very professional hotel staff (housekeeping, restaurant, beach buffet, life guards, reception and an excellent gardener who nicely maintained his garden. However, some “negative points” need mentioning: - Very poor internet connection, WIFI is only available at the reception hall - Big shortage of staff at the restaurant and the room service. In the restaurant, there are always long queues at the barbecue section. - Food quality is degraded on weekends (Saturday dinner to Sunday lunch). This is due to the important increase in the number of guests (locals) coming to spend one or two nights only at the hotel. - If you are following a diet or gluten free regime, it is recommended that you bring your special food (or sweets, cakes…) with you. - Last, and I know that many will disagree with me, the sound of the loud speakers is very high during the day around the swimming pool or in the evenings when they produce their shows. This is a danger for the ears of young children. - If you are a local and you are coming with your car, you may not find a parking space within the hotel walls and you may be “forced” to leave it outside the hotel. I will not conclude without thanking GM Mr Kamel, Sami at the reception, Syrine the PR officer, Ezzeddine the butler, Ismail, Mongi and Kerim at the restaurant. My special thanks to the Pastry Chef, Ms Nada, who offered very tasty sweets and desserts (gluten free) to my wife. May be, I will visit this hotel next June 2027.
