We treated ourselves to a boutique B&B and will be honest the Sindic wasn’t our first choice as the spa hotel was already booked up some months ahead it seems.. To have that but extra we booked a room with the jacuzzi bath in the room for extra decadence.. If there was one issue, it was simply a miscommunication from them in their email to us the night before our stay advising check in / reception wasn’t 24 hours and so we couldn’t arrive between 2pm and 5pm, resulting in us somewhat dawdling the last leg of the Cami de Cavalls we had completed that day to ensure we didn’t arrive early.. and would have been kicking our heels waiting for opening.. More on that later.. We were met initially by both the owner and Martina on reception, who informed us she’d only started there less than 2 weeks ago.. this became obvious when on her mini guided tour of this beautiful hotel, she was reading from her notes to explain the historical aspects of the reception area and it’s significance to the area.. she then showed us the rooftop lounge , pool and honesty bar, all of which we may have used has the weather been more favourable.. it was a lovely place to be with great views across the port.. we were then shown to our room where our cases were waiting for us and again we’re shown how to operate the brilliant lighting (so often hotel rooms are darkly lit.. but not with the options here) and s bedside control of how to Bluetooth your tech to the speakers to play your own music etc. which we figured out eventually.. There were instructions for the whirlpool bath that were clear.. whilst the tv was a good picture.. we had to have the volume on max and even then it was just audible … and would have to say the TV remote was incredibly fiddly to use.. but in all, a minor detail not detracting from our stay .. there was also a mini bar in the room together with tea / coffee making facilities with plenty of supplies of both .. Again.. not enough to mark down to four for this but we both felt for a luxury stay , the bath towels did seem very ordinary.. they were perfectly adequate for the job but we both agreed they didn’t have the weight or fluffiness we might have expected.. Breakfast… wow… breakfast.. you have to order your preference of bread rolls when you check in which is no issue and then on the day you arrive to find your table with your name and room number All the produce is clearly fresh such as the bread rolls and croissants, but the star of the show is the different pastries and sweets prepared that day.. all of which were fantastic and just super tasty.. I’ll be honest and say we still preferred the breakfast at the Ladico last year with their poached eggs which were amazing.. but again, I’m being picky .. So on the last day , we had a late afternoon flight so being able to check out at noon, we had breakfast and popped in to town for some last minute shopping.. back to the hotel and checked out, went for lunch and then made sure we were

We booked 2 nights at the beginning of our tour of Menorca and 2 nights at the end at this hotel! On arrival we were greeted by Marina who was lovely, she was very informative and attentive! She told us we had been designated room 6 for both our stays! The reception area was very decorative and charming with the original old wall! Marina showed us the rooftop, it all looked like it needed work doing too it, not well maintained or clean looking! On entering our room 6, it was modern but not done to a high standard it was a bit tacky! It was very scruffy, and the shower was disgusting! The bed was comfortable and the bed linen was pristine! So we decided to stay! As we were returning we didn’t approach the reception with our issues, just in case we couldn’t get another hotel when we were due to return! That was our mistake, we should have stated it was not what we expected from a 4 Star Hotel! Breakfast was just ok, no toast just rolls! Very limited selection, to a handful of berries and a small plate of cheese and ham & small plate of fresh fruit! The smallest selection I have ever seen! Coffee was very good, extra hot milk, no problem! No replenishing of items so be early! Once we had left the Hotel and moved to our next destination, we knew we could not return to the Sindic for our last two nights, the difference in the 4 star hotel we were at could not be compared to the Sindic! So I emailed the Sindic, stating why we could not return on our last 2 nights, with photos asking for a full refund! I received an email stating that I should have said I wasn’t happy, at the time! I fully agree with that, but due to the dirty shower I felt this unreasonable! They chose not too make a comment on the photos and said they would refund 1 night!! So they accepted there was issues but still were too tight to give us a full refund! There are so many lovely hotels in Mahon that we stayed at, I would advise you to give this one a miss!

It was a lovely hotel in the middle of Mahon and the room was spacious and with double shower and double sink features and a large jacuzzi style bath also. The pool at the top of the hotel was a lovely area to chill out. Staff were very helpful too.

We loved our 2 nights at this beautiful and unique small boutique hotel in the centre of the old town in Mahon. A historic house next to a City gate about 3 mins walk from the town square and in the heart of the old town. Inside the conversion creates a cool oasis with great showers, AC, and best jacuzzi bath I ve tried, completed by a wonderful small plunge pool on the roof which was perfect after a morning walking around the City and waterfront. Both the owner and receptionist were ultra helpful on things to do, places to eat and getting a cab to the airport early morning when our street was closed for the annual 4 day fiesta which had horses and giants dancing and parading round the streets. Amazing fun spectacle but beware most restaurants close or just serve beer and Pomade (Gin and lemon) so not the best time to visit for foodies.

We spent a week in Mahon and celebrated our anniversary here. My thoughtful husband had arranged for a bottle of Cava in our room upon arrival; the staff had gone further and left rose petals on the bed - a lovely touch. We were lucky to be in Room 5 which I’d say has the best outlook from the front of the hotel. We could fault nothing about the room - comfortable bed, pillows, huge double shower and jacuzzi bath (which sadly we never got to try out). Breakfasts were lovely although a minor criticism would be that there were too many sweet and not enough savoury choices in the buffet breakfast. Staff were very pleasant and helpful - it would have been even better if we could have received some recommendations about the best places to eat or places to visit. The hotel is situated very conveniently in the town and it’s not too far down to the harbour. Would recommend and would stay here again.

This is a really lovely charming hotel, full of character. The interior design and decor was beautiful and the owner took great pride in explaining how the building had been in her family for generations before she converted it into this exceptional hotel. There was such a lovely relaxing vibe. I had emailed in advance to say that we would be arriving at 1500 and was assured that someone would be there to greet us, which they were and we were shown immediately to our room. Very comfortable bed and I liked the twin rain shower, which was very efficient. We also had access to a small shared terrace, which unfortunately we didn´t use as the other couple sharing this space smoked cigarettes. So we opted to use the roof top terrace instead where there was a very comfortable sofa and chairs and TV and also access to the small pool and sunbeds. Breakfast was delicious. Delicious local bread rolls, fruit, pastries, and cheese/hams etc. The hotel was also very convenient for walking everywhere and close to some exceptional restaurants, El Romero being just one.
