Ibis Malabo ★★★

📍 2, Isla De Bioko, Malabo

"Booked with Ibis Malabo when I visited the country ! The check in experience was truly poor. First of all , the front desk lady called Okomo, she never smiles and seems always angry. But anyways, when we are at the part to clear the room fees, I checked with her whether I can pay in USD. She said yes. According to my confirmation from ( I booked directly via ALL app) it was shown USD$124.15. I paid her USD$125 cash. She then looked at me and said I am USD$5 short. I repointing the confirmation form saying it should be USD$124.15 and not USD$130. She called her manager, who is also not that friendly looking said it’s USD$130. If you don’t pay, I won’t give you the key card. Yes, I know, it’s only USD$5, piece of cake; but this is a matter of integrity and professionalism. You can’t just add another USD$5 if you want. Then my tour guide stepped in and paid the room fee via CFA and I gave him the USD. The room, typical Ibis room, but was smelly and moist. I had a terrible sleep that night. But only good thing was that they remembered I needed to leave early and prepared a plate of breakfast for me. Overall, my experience was bad, it was not a good stay. "Superb modern hotel. Rooms are fanastic. The bar on the 17th floor is good where if you like you can pick up more than food and drink. The restaurants are good and the chinese restaurant is superb."

"Place && hotel staff are fantastic. The only problem is the guy who is working in bar at swimming pool. He was very rude. I already explained his bad behavior to hotel staff"

Ibis Malabo ★★★
"Good potential, inexpensive and close to the city center of Malabo. But the establishment is under construction, so some unpleasant experiences from time to time. Friendly staff, available. Delicious meal, but you have to be patient."

Hotel Anda ★★★★★
"The Anda is close to the Airport. Stayed at Anda II the 5 star. Rooms very good and the internet, though not super fast, was acceptable for streaming. The food was very good quality whilst the staff were generally friendly and attentive. Recommend Bernardo's bar on the 17th floor of Anda II which has great views and has something of a vibe about it!"

Magno Suites ★★★
"I had an outstanding stay at Magno Suites in Malabo. It was easy to book through ******* and communicate via chat to arrange a free shuttle transfer from and back the airport. The driver was at the arrivals area and picked me right away in a hotel marked mini van. The driver took 10 minutes. Check in was very efficient and pleasant. And my suite was spacious and included an outdoor private plunge pool. WiFi was good in the room, lobby and restaurant area. Dinner was spectacular as was bar service. Reception arranged a private tour for me to the city center (10 min drive) for 5000 CFA ($10 US) per hour. Also, a gift shop with local EG handicrafts connected to the front desk at reasonable prices. Overall, can’t say enough positive about Magno suites."

Bisila Palace ★★★★
"I had a very pleasant stay here. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room and amenities were very clean and the food was good. The swimming pool and gym were clean and well maintained. If there was a down side it was the size of the shop but to even have one is a bonus tbh."
