The Majestic Malacca Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of The World

Malacca City Center Melaka|0.12km from St. Peter's Church
**Overall Rating: 9/10** My stay at The Majestic Malacca was delightful, earning a solid 9 out of 10 for its excellent service, well-appointed rooms, and overall experience. However, there's room for improvement, particularly in refining the conduct of the guest liaison officer. **Building: 8/10** Despite being relatively small, The Majestic Malacca impresses with a complete array of amenities. However, minor issues like the broken lock in the lobby men's restroom need attention. **Christmas Celebration Package: 8/10** The festive package offered fun activities with impressive prizes, although luck wasn't on my side. The dinner, albeit a bit disappointing, exuded a lively vibe, making the celebration enjoyable. **Breakfast: 9/10** The breakfast experience was exceptional! The Nasi Lemak was outstanding and a must-try. Although the menu is excellent, incorporating new dishes could enhance the overall variety. The à la carte dining provided a fine-dining experience, encouraging guests to dress well and indulge in the gastronomic delights offered. **Room: 8.5/10** The room was inviting with a fantastic view, scoring an 8.5 out of 10. While the amenities like an iron and ironing board were not readily available, they were promptly provided upon request. The bed's comfort level added to the overall positive experience. **Would I Revisit?** Absolutely! The Majestic Malacca stands as a beacon of a well-rounded hotel experience, especially with its delectable breakfast and convenient proximity to Malacca's main attractions. In conclusion, despite minor areas for improvement, The Majestic Malacca is a definite recommendation for those seeking a charming hotel with top-notch service and a delightful breakfast experience. Sincerely, Your happy guest <3

Courtyard Melaka

Malacca City Center Melaka|0.15km from St. Peter's Church
This is a very new hotel which started their business in March 2023. Wanted to try on the first day of opening but due to some reason, it was delayed till now. It’s a first Marriott hotel in Melaka, so I do have very high expectations from them. As a Marriott platinum elite member, I’ve stayed in many hotel under Marriott organisation. Upon reaching the hotel with grab car, the staff came up to me immediately and lead me to the check in counter, the lobby are huge, and I can still smell that the hotel are still so new. Not much of the guest in the lobby area, it’s a Monday so I guess it’s normal. No suite room upgrade and no complimentary breakfast for a platinum member, although I was upgraded to a strait view room which I appreciated it. It can see a tiny bit of the sea. Apart from that, I guess the room size and amenity are the same. The check in staff told me that the suite room was full… I mean.. it’s a Monday.. and I literally still can see the suite room was available in the Bonvoy app. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been to many hotel under Marriott organisation. I don’t always get upgraded to a suite room, but it was okay, I do understand all these are subjected to individual hotel policy and it’s all a good will. But I guess the staff could just tell me that the hotel are still new, the suite room are limited and it’s reserved for paying guest. I would totally understand that. But I don’t think it’s wise to you know, use a default replied as member like us, we check on the app. For me, if there’s no available suite room, I wouldn’t even ask for an upgrade. Secondly, there’s no complimentary breakfast, I paid RM70 for the 2 day breakfast. I’ve stayed in a few courtyard hotel, this was the first one that I’ve paid for breakfast, there might be other courtyard that don’t provide complimentary breakfast for guest with elite status, maybe I didn’t stay much enough to see it all. I’ve stayed with hotel that told me that their facility actually don’t offer complimentary breakfast for elite member, but they will just give it to me as a good will on top of my welcome gift. Just a little suggestion, like maybe let the counter staff to decide, if they could slip in some complimentary breakfast to guest with elite status or even guest that potentially come back again. I’m not complaining here, just some of my suggestions. The room are new, nice and spacious, very clean. Nice TV channel selection, view was great. Bed are firm to the level that I like, they offer pillow menu as well. Had very good sleep for the 2 night. Breakfast was very basic. There’s a very annoying flies flying around my table.. how did it come into the hotel, lol. Gym are small but there should be everything you need. The infinity pool are great! Very good view and very Instagrammable. Please visit the pool when you are here. The staff and friendly and nice. Would come back again to the hotel when I’m back in Melaka.

I booked a deluxe room with a window, but I was arranged without a window! There are stains in the quilt!

This was our second stay at Treasures and it did not disappoint! The hotel is gorgeous with Balinese style fittings and decor. The infinity style pool on the roof top is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Rooms are clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Beds, pillows and sheets are so soft and comfortable and feels like it is high-end. Breakfast is fantastic, we experienced both buffet and al a carte and both had a great variety of tasty, fresh foods. The service is what makes this hotel stand out from the rest. Every single staff member was lovely and approachable, nothing was ever too much trouble. We could not find any faults in our stay at Treasures and will definitely return when in Melaka.

Good hotel with a good location, it is really close to the river and the central area, maybe only 5 mins maximum walk. Rooms were big and the beds were comfy, all at a great price. Only downside was the breakfast wasn’t up to much, but we were not complaining because the price we paid made up for it. Hotel staff were very pleasant and welcoming, and we wouldn’t hesitate coming back to this place again if we were in Melaka in the future.
Sleep Here Hostel

First time staying here & I liked it. Location nearby The Shore, eateries, convenience store & laundry shop. Open parking in front of hostel. Inside dorm, good layout for bunk bed, clean & comfy, have plugs, mirror, clothes hanger, big storage for luggage, aircond & fans. Ample sink & toilets provided & clean. It’s unisex bathroom but there were 2 sides whereby the receptionist will inform you which sides for male & female so didn’t converge to each other. Bring your own toiletries & towel! Rent towel charge RM5.
