Ibis Malaga Centro Ciudad Reviews

This is a large hotel that offers good value for money. My stay was alright, nothing particularly stood out. The room was quite spacious, and I didn't experience any major inconveniences. The location is also decent.

The hotel is not far from Malaga's Old Town, within walking distance. The room was tiny, and the facilities were basic. It was the smallest room with the most basic amenities we had on this trip. The breakfast was also simple. It served its purpose for an overnight stay.

An absolutely fantastic hotel! It's also super convenient for transportation. What really surprised and delighted me was that it even had air conditioning! Haha, I totally wasn't expecting that, so it was a pleasant surprise!

I really liked this hotel. The location is excellent as it is about a five minute walk to the historic town centre so it is very close to restaurants, shops and attractions. The room was a typical Ibis room - basic but clean and well thought out. There is a nice bar restaurant downstairs. The staff were all friendly, particularly the women cleaning the rooms. The elevator was a bit scary with lots of juddering and noise but it seemed reliable. I’d stay here again. 

The male receptionist had an extremely bad attitude. It was clearly a twin room plus a sofa bed, but he wouldn't allow three people to stay. He claimed an adult woman couldn't sleep on a 0.9 x 1.8-meter bed? This male staff member even scoffed at us, saying it was for a baby and had his colleague watch us to prevent all three of us from going up. This was an insult to our character, seriously outrageous! We were so angry that we went and booked another room at the hotel next door. The difference in front desk attitudes was night and day – friendly, welcoming, and they even had free coffee.

Excellent location in the centre of Malaga. The rooms are basic but clean. They are a little worn. There are two cafes in the building which is handy and it's a few minutes walk to many other bars and restaurants. The star point of this hotel is it's proximity to the historic centre of the city. It's nothing fancy but it's a great base for exploring.

The room was great, very clean, and the staff provided excellent service. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was plentiful, and the hygiene was excellent.

The room was very Ibis-standard, but the location was super convenient! The parking was also the most reasonably priced in the area!

- just a few steps to the old town and a lot of restaurants - friendly (also english speaking) staff - it was a bit noisy from drunken people on the street during the weekend

Good location Breakfast able to have it 30min early before start at 6.30 👍🏻 No AC at this time of the year 👎🏻 Hotel you need to swipe your room floor
