My family and I were taken care of by Kishore, who was an exceptional host. He helped us from the moment we arrived until the day we departed, always making sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The Hard Rock hotel is well equipped with everything one could desire on a family vacation. The swimming pool and beach have a great atmosphere frequently filled with music events and activities. The food is top notch and very diverse. Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy from a wide range of activities, such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (highly recommended), weight training center, Zumba classes and more. We will definitely return for a second round of paradise.

I had an amazing time with my boyfriend in SAii Lagoon, everyone there was so kind and lovely! They treated us like family and we felt so welcomed. During check-in I met “Jack”, he is so friendly, professional and extremely helpful! Also he speaks fluent mandarin and English which is a plus for Chinese tourists who struggles with English. At the restaurant/pool bar “Mr. Tom Yam” we’ve met some amazing staffs there, always happy to see us and they served us with the most delicious cocktails and food! We were always so happy to see “Eli & Sam”, they gave us the best suggestions when we couldn’t decide on what to get, you won’t be disappointed for sure whether is food or drinks! They knew what we wanted before even telling them which was a plus! And behind the bar you have the best mixologist called “Joseph” he made us AMAZING cocktails I swear is one of the BEST ones I’ve ever tasted so far! They would always greet and smile. The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to the tourists who wants to go there. Before leaving I met “Tharaka” she was so lovely, kind and helpful! Everyone was so lovely, friendly and professional! Will be back to this place soon! Amazing experience all around . From the airport pick up , fast boat ride to the resort , to awesome Riq… whose personality, professionalism, charm and smile elevated the stay to top notch. Beautiful resort, good food, fun activities and the amazing staff ( from the hard working gardeners to fun and friendly/ playful employees all through the resort ) my trip was great . Highly recommended it .

SO/ Maldives provides beachfront accommodation in South Male Atoll. Each accommodation at the 5-star resort has sea views, and guests can enjoy access to a bar and to a private beach area. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared lounge and free WiFi throughout the property. At the resort every room includes air conditioning, a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen, towels and a terrace with a city view. The units will provide guests with a wardrobe and a coffee machine. Breakfast is available every morning, and includes buffet, à la carte and continental options. At SO/ Maldives you will find a restaurant serving Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Pizza cuisine. Vegetarian, halal and vegan options can also be requested. At the accommodation guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot tub.

What other hotel in the world gives you a Bon Voyage cake for breakfast on the day of checking out? Admittedly I'd been staying there for nearly 3 weeks, but when the cake turned up with the kitchen staff in tow it was a surprising culmination to 3 weeks of excellent service, tasty food, and comfortable sleeping. The hotel is very conveniently located within 5 minutes' walk of the ferry from the airport. Or you can take the hotel’s car, but why would you not take a boat in the Maldives? There’s a choice of restaurants, breakfast with just about every choice you could wish for, and a small gym. There’s also a pool next to the roof-top restaurant with the best view in the Indian Ocean. Most people probably spend only a day or two in Male, but if you’re looking for somewhere very pleasant to spend that time, Hotel Jen should be at the top of your list.

From the second we got there - we were treated amazingly! From the check in process to the room to everything in between - the start of our honeymoon couldn’t be more spectacular. First the service - very attentive and helpful, and they had all these special treats for us because it was our honeymoon. Second the room - feels like a NY high rise but every inch was meticulously planned with a balcony and ocean view - it was the best. The front staff are very helpful, we got to explore the capital a bit before leaving which was a great experience - such a rich culture! The food was amazing as well - the dinner was so tasty, and the buffet breakfast included was phenomenal. We can’t say enough good things about this place. 10/10!!

It feels quite close to Male Airport, take a taxi and cross a bridge, then shuttle in the alleys, it takes about 10-15 minutes to arrive. The boss is a German who has lived in the Maldives for more than ten years. Two days before the arrival day, the boss Thomas began to contact us by email, including when we arrived, how much luggage, how many people and so on. After customs clearance on the day of arrival, Thomas' staff has already picked up the guests with a sign at the hotel entrance (free pick-up service is included in my reservation). He greeted us at the door before arriving at his small hotel. Very polite and caring. If there is no problem with your communication needs, the boss Thomas will give you a lot of tips for traveling on the island, such as how much local currency is appropriate to exchange, what local regulations are there, and so on. It is very important that this hotel should be the best Thai restaurant on Male Island. Very authentic thanks to the owner Thomas should have some stories in Thailand, there is no gossip about the specifics. If you eat a meal in person, the boss will recommend and serve you personally. Don't order too much. The next day we went to the resort island. It was a very pleasant day to stay in this hotel on Male Island. It is very convenient to buy swimming goggles, clothes, shoes and other necessary items in the hotel. In Muslim countries, alcohol and tobacco are prohibited, you can ask the boss.

Domestic seven days home level, stay one night transfer to the island

After a bad experience this holiday booking somewhere on the other island opposite Male for our forward journey, I was getting my hopes up! But upon arriving at Somerset we were greeted with smiles, a drink and cold towels. Not to mention the lovely driver who gave us some information on the city during the drive from the airport. The hotel, by any standard, ticks all the boxes! The restaurant has the best food and after walking around the street we decided we wouldn’t eat anywhere else. The staff go above and beyond and were friendlier than the island resort we’d spent 5 days at. This was the first time we actually wanted to ‘tip’ the staff. The room has everything you need. Yes the air conditioner in the main room smells a bit but it’s the same in Bali. It can’t be helped with the humidity! And the other comment about the call to prayer noise, you’re coming to a country that has their own traditions and I can’t see why you wouldn’t be respectful of that. Thanks for a fantastic stay and I will definitely be recommending to other friends.

I had few expectations for this modest new hotel in the middle of rough-and-tough Male, but for a brief overnight layover it proved absolutely perfect. The airport pick-up was charming and efficient, the check-in staff was exemplary—gracious, professional and kind—and the room itself was clean, modern and had everything one might need. When we had to check out at 6:00 a.m. they even provided us with two huge packed breakfasts consisting of toast, sausages, pancakes, muffins, watermelon and eggs! It was a perfect distillation of a place that went beyond the call of duty in every way, with impeccable English-speaking staff from India and the Philippines. I would strongly recommend it to anyone overnighting in the capital before or after a connection to a faraway atoll.
