"The standard rooms, chalets and cabins are not worth the money they charge for them. Most are far away from where one's vehicle must park. The perimeter walls to the property look "dodge" and unsafe. We were not prepared to stay in the chalets, rooms or cabins and had to resort to taking one of the bigger river view chalets for our peace of mind and safety, this was at an additional cost of close to R500 for the night. In general, the place is dated and is in serious need of maintenance. IN general, the prices are over the top and are exploiting the traveller by charging a hefty price because it has a view of the Kruger Park. "

"Nice rooms, some with a view. Layout nice. Shower needs updating. Excellent staff. You feel very wellcome. Unfortunately the restaurant is extremely slow when choosing from the menu. Both lunch & dinner. Took 1,5 hours for starter (nacho’s). Not acceptable. Location is perfect next to Melalane gate. Bar is excellent ad well with nice service. Good espresso’s. Stellar view from the lunch deck overlooking the riverbed with hippo’s, crockodile, elephants and giraffe. A must see!"

"This is such a perfect place to stay if you are visiting the Kruger National Park. The lodge is situated circa 1.5km from the Malelane gate entrance. The rooms are really spacious with a large walk-in shower and extremely comfortable beds. WI-FI and air-con works perfectly in the room. There's a safe and they have a great selection of TV channels. I was there when the 2026 football World Cup was on!! Breakfast is fantastic, the restaurant menu is extensive, go for the belly pork or prawns!!! they are exceptional dishes! The staff are so friendly and helpful, they cannot do enough for you. As I was a solo traveler, I felt extremely welcomed here. I cannot recommend this lodge highly enough 10/10. Keep up the great work. I'm sure I will return again sometime "
