Sumus Hotel Monteplaya & Spa 4Sup - Adults Only

Came here with Shearings. Such a lovely hotel with excellent staff. Extremely clean & good food. 2 minutes to beach under the underpass & local train service goes to Barcelona. Really want to come back. Could not find one negative & just had such a lovely holiday here.

The room was comfy and well laid out. It was kept clean to a high standard as was the rest of the Hotel. The Hotel staff were very friendly & helpful thoughout the week. The Restaurant food was excellent, Staff were very friendly and helpful here as well. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The area is quiet apart from at times noise from neigbouring hotels guests. I travelled to the hotel via a Shearings coach from the UK. This was my second time at the Hotel (April 2024). Swimming pools could do with being a bit warmer. the grounds were kept in very good order. The feel of the Hotel was very calm and professional, stress free.

Hotel was modern and clean throughout. Our room was lovely and nice sized balcony. Lots of variety of food in the evenings and breakfast was good. Hotel staff were very nice, particularly Elena who was always very welcoming and lovely when entering the hotel restaurant. Spa facilities were also nice. The area was abit quiet in regards to activities but I believe this is due to the time of year, when walking into Santa Susanna we discovered more going on, lots of local shops / gift shops / restaurants local to the hotel though. Train station with direct routes into Barcelona only a 10 minute walk away and only €12 for adult return, we visited twice. My only negative would be that we were on the first floor and the wifi wasn’t great, it only seemed to work 100% in the reception area / downstairs. We had a great holiday and would definitely return to this hotel if we visited the area again. Thanks! x

This is my very first time at this hotel and great service from start to finish. I would give this hotel 11 stars out of 10 from cleanliness to all out service sand the staff have made me very welcome and it’ll be worth coming back.

Awful 😞 experience don't go AVOID I have complained to easyJet and the hotel but there has been no response from either of them. There were six of us One couple. A mother and a daughter. A mother and her son. Four rooms booked. The mother had a separate room from her son. When we arrived early in the morning hungry and thirty there was nothing available to eat or drink. I was advised to get water from the vending machine but only notes that reception refused to change. With no other option either. First to be called to check in was, mother and daughter who paid via a card due to the hotel not handling cash. The process was very slow they went to their room which was a double room not a twin. The man at reception called them back down and gave them another room. My mother was called next to check in her room was a double not a single and had to pay tax for two people. My brother had the biggest bedroom and checked in fine. When my husband and I checked in we went to our room which absolutely stank of sewage and no water in the fridge. There were free toiletries and lollies but no water. At this point I'm so thirsty. I go back to reception to be told again to use the vending machine. In the end I said to the rude man being reception that I don't want freebies in my room just basic water. I was fuming by now. In the end he gave me two bottles of water for six of us. I complained about my room smelling and he said that he would not change the room now to wait till morning and see someone else. The room was changed the next day thank you. The food was another story undercooked turkey and pork throughout the week. I have a picture of this. The chef apologised but I think it was management a lady came over and stated it's a buffet not a restaurant. I said it did not matter all meat especially pork and poultry needed to be cooked properly, not raw. This happened most days. All of us were ill with stomach cramps and diarrhoea. The staff in the hotel were just so rude with the exception of the welcoming staff member on the desk in the restaurant and the cleaners for the room. The entertainment was awful 😳. We were excited all day and waited. Five minutes into it half the bar had gone it was awful. We never experienced this before. The bills for extras in the restaurant were all mixed up due to all the room moves which was annoying. Even checking out was a nightmare. We could not wait to leave and would have left earlier if we had an option. The worst experience in my whole life as agreed with the rest of my party. I would never return here not a four star ⭐ in my opinion. I stayed in Salou in H10 Delfin in April and read my review for that. It was amazing 😍 go here instead. I hate complaining but just have to warn others not to waste their money.

What a beautiful hotel Relaxing atmosphere throughout Quiet hotel too. Rooms lovely and comfortable beds Staff are superb and enable the hotel to run efficiently making the whole experience wonderful. Would definitely recommend staying here. Ideal location for the train too so you can visit Blanes Barcelona Tossa De Mar with ease. Will definitely return

Went as a family age range from 16-70yrs. Arrival end of July. Beautiful hotel, most staff very kind and smiley! Inside and out side of the hotel areas were spotless, although the outside pool could have done with a clean as floor was quite gritty on the feet. Outside pool also FREEZING cold so couldn’t spend much time in it. We paid the extra to use the indoor pool which again wasn’t very warm but better than the outside pool. The indoor pool was beautiful though super clean and water was SO clear! Food was ok, would be better if everything was labeled a little bit clearer, including the puddings. Rooms were nice, nothing special but clean and tidy. Unfortunately the beds were rock solid and felt like we were laying on the floor :( Not a huge amount to do outside the hotel, shops both left and right. The beach is the otherside of the train tracks with ample underpasses. But unfortunately the sand is super gritty and the sea quite rough it wasn’t very safe. Also watch out for mosquitoes! Unfortunately we will not be returning to the hotel or area due to personal preference.

Lovely 4 night break (mothers and daughters) good room, not particularly spacious. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Lots of different places to sit. Enjoyed sitting on the top terrace as it got sun all day (need to be early to reserve as not many sunbeds) staff very attentive and good bar service. Used the spa one morning when the weather wasn’t too good and it was amazing! Really really special place 16E each for 3 hours and we were lucky enough to have it to ourselves. Stayed bed and breakfast - plenty of restaurants around but not a huge variety (plenty of takeaways) hotel food in the bar and buffet was good. Lovely hotel, not too much around it. Did go for a day trip to Barcelona on the train which was good and easy from the local train.
