Beautiful pub! Shame about the manager! She’s rude and arrogant. I was having a few drinks with friends when she spoke to us rudely and made us feel uneasy and unwelcome. Calling last orders at 9pm! I don’t drive an hour to be at a pub 2 hours. Shame on how down hill that place really is going!!! I will not be attending again. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE RUDE PEOPLE

Lunchtime visit on the 11th November; very quiet! Service was swift and efficient. The fish finger bun was very good (superior to just fish fingers) and the chips ok. Pricing was fair. Whilst it’s a quaint, old property the gents loo is almost outside (access via the function type room). Could do with a bit of an update but decent food.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon after spending the weekend in the Cotswolds for a Sunday lunch. As we were celebrating our dads 60th birthday and made them aware and the staff went above and beyond with decorations and impeccable service for a wonderful Sunday roast. All the food was amazing! The pork roast in particular was fantastic. Great value for money. Special mention to Kes who looked after us. She was wonderful and ensured we had a lovely and memorable last family meal. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

Great food and wonderful service. The place is oldie world vibe so inviting and the people are very friendly. The food is one of the best Sunday roasts we have ever tried. We were also welcomed with our new puppy who is a bit of a handful. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful experience all around! Gorgeous clean room, with well stocked tea station (and fresh milk in the fridge). Comfy bed, big TV, and cute radio playing chill music when we arrived. Big bay window lets in a lot of light! Big lush bathroom and fluffy towels. Generous breakfast included in the morning with plenty of choice and very accommodating to dietary needs and preferences. Very helpful and attentive staff with smiley faces - the hotel manager in particular was lovely. Can’t fault it, we’re VERY pleased with our stay and will be recommending to friends.

Absolutely excellent!
We booked for a weekday night and enjoyed a very quiet and peaceful stay. The staff were incredibly kind and made everything clear from the moment we arrived.
Upon entering our room, we were instantly impressed by the clean, spacious, and beautifully presented accommodation. It featured a large bathroom, a big TV, a kettle, a fridge, and a very comfortable bed. We even had a stunning view from our large open window overlooking the front car park (a lovely car park!).
Breakfast was included the next morning and it was absolutely delicious. The team was very accommodating of my wife's dietary requirements, reassuring us about the gluten-free options and putting us completely at ease.
The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, greeting us with calmness and big smiles.
A big thank you to the pub manager for all her help.
We highly recommend this spot for a relaxing night away or a few days’ holiday. We’ll absolutely be booking another visit soon!

We stayed for 1 night on our way to a family wedding. The pub is very charming, with great food / drinks and good service. The room was very comfortable and felt more like an upmarket hotel. We had a room with bath & shower which was a good size and had been recently renovated. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at the pub. All of the dishes were very good and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Thanks again to Kes and the team for making it such a wonderful stay.
