Paloma Orenda

We are currently at Paloma Orenda, the best part so far has been the Mini Club for our three young children. The staff are so welcoming and attentive. The facilities, the park and activities put on during the day cater for children of all ages. Very impressed! Thank you for looking after our children and making their holiday!

We stayed at this hotel in June 2024. We travelled as a family of 7 (4 adults and 3 children - aged 5 and 3 year old twins). The hotel is a fair distance from the airport and we took advantage of the TUI coach transfer - however, whilst the coach was fine, the journey was long, with numerous stops at various hotels. Inevitably we were the last stop so it took nearly 2 hours! With young children and late at night, next time a private transfer would be better. We arrived in the early hours and got checked in with no issues. The next day we woke and were very impressed. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful. Endless palm trees, grassy open areas and plenty of staff on hand to greet you and welcome you. We ate at all the restaurants including the steak house which I think is reasonably priced for the service and quality you receive. The buffet is good, not outstanding but you'll never go hungry. We really enjoyed having lunch at the beach side restaurant- again the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The animation team are great, they remember your names but they aren't pushy to get you involved. All the usual activities are on offer and there is always something for the kids. The kids club and park is great especially at night after dinner. The night entertainment is probably the best we have ever seen. The shows were unique and the kids loved them. The water park is a good place to spend a couple of hours. Try out the vertical slide at the top, that will wake you up if you've had a few drinks the night before!! We went into Side one day and explored the shops. The staff were not pushy at all. It was a nice experience as opposed to some previous experiences elsewhere in Turkey. We have now just re-booked for this year as we struggled to find fault with any of the elements of the hotel. It really is that good. I thoroughly recommend this hotel, the staff really do make the difference and the hotel has a completely relaxed feel, it never feels particularly busy, we always managed to get sunbed even as a larger group.

We are on holiday for the third time. We like everything very much. The quality of the room and service are at a high level. We need to change the legs of the bed, we often injure our legs. The restaurant is wonderful, the people are very friendly. We really like the concerts, the children's club is very good.

Over all a really good holiday as a family of 3, with a 4 year old. Pros: - Definitely a family hotel, which suited us. The splash pool is great and the shades keep the kids out the sun when they splash about. - Entertainment was good in the day. We don’t do a huge amount of it but the team were fun and not too pushy. - The food was great. We are all adventurous eaters and we’re more than happy with the food over 14 days. Lunch at the beach bar was good. - Good drinks. The fresh made mocktails were much better than premade which were so strong and overly sweet. - Wabi Sabi was our favourite a la carte. Our daughter loved the crispy duck. - The Mini Club and Mini Disco was so good. The playground was very good with shades over the equipment. The staff and activities were great. They all made a good effort to learn new English words and we tried Turkish too! - The grounds are impeccably looked after. When we arrived the walls were covered in jasmine flowers and the whole hotel smelled amazing! - There is a bucket and spade ‘amnesty’ by the kids club on the beach so don’t bother wasting space and packing your own. - The dolmus goes from the road outside the hotel and it takes 10 mins to Side to the old town which is worth a visit, especially if it’s cloudy. - A waiter spilled a drink over our table and the hotel offered to clean my dress and also provided a large tin of olive oil as an apology. - Guest relations can be whatsapped and reply very quickly. Cons: - The pillows are very uncomfortable. - We had a connecting door in our room with next door which provided no sound insulation whatsoever. We considered moving room because of if. - The shower door opens outwards and the towel hook is on the hinge side. It makes the whole ‘bathroom area’ very wet as it’s impossible to put a mat outside the door. - Somebody took our giant inflatable unicorn from around the pool. Not the hotel’s fault but our daughter was quite upset! - The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss. One of the shows (madrigal something) was by far the most surreal and bizarrely amateur thing I have ever seen. Quite a lot of the children were terrified. Most were very good and the variety was also good - we had motorbikes, ice skates and dancing etc.

Great hotel, our second visit to Orenda and one of many visits to Paloma hotels. We had a family suite, Room was spacious and modern, only negative to the room is there was no mirror at the dressing table - Cleaners done a fantastic job each day. Staff are all very helpful and friendly, best barman is ZU on the pool bar, honestly the best tasting cocktails - No one else can make them like he can! Our favourite waiter was Selman Eryilmaz - He was always on the ball and thinking ahead, ensuring our families needs were fulfilled at Lunch/Dinner. We ate at Wabi Sabi 3 nights, fantastic food, although if you’ve stayed at other Paloma hotels, the menu is the same. Buffet restaurant at dinner was good but not amazing. Some evenings there was some odd foods available, which made some strange meals 😂 - I’d definitely say they could improve on selection of foods for children. Overall we had a great 14 night stay and we will return again at some stage.

The hotel is amazing with exceptional standard, located in beautiful garden's scenery with direct access to the beach. As celiac with strong allergy to gluten I was proper looked after by kitchen chefs so all stay was safe and stressless. The special highlight to extremly hard working and friendly kids Club Staff, amazing activities and profesional approach from all, with special call for Multuhan and Havva who was going well above the expectation to ensure kids are well looked after and happy making our stay pleasable.
