Maldron Hotel Manchester Central – Cathedral Quarter

I checked into the hotel around 3 AM and just wanted to get some sleep, but both the room and bathroom smelled strongly of vomit. I couldn't sleep at all. The next morning, I reported it to the hotel and also contacted Trip.com. They moved me to another room on the same floor, but it still had a strong, unpleasant smell, likely due to the pipes. Maybe the entire seventh floor is like this, or even the whole hotel. I didn't want to change rooms again, so I just sprayed my own perfume every day. If you're sensitive to odors, I'd strongly advise against staying here. The daily cleaning was very basic; it felt like they just refilled the toilet paper and emptied the trash. On the positive side, the hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get around and visit attractions.

Right in the heart of Manchester city center, next to the train station. You can easily walk to Chinatown from here. There are tons of restaurant choices all around. The hotel is really new; none of that musty smell we encountered in the older London hotels.
