The Bulls Head Hotel

Came in for a couple of drinks and my wife was charged £11:65 for 1 pint of poretti and a 330ml bottle of 0.0% Peroni.. Ridiculous Pricing..

I had booked this hotel months in advance for a weekend stay, only to have my reservation abruptly cancelled just four days before arrival. The timing conveniently coincided with a major Bruce Springsteen concert in town, and it’s hard not to feel like my booking was sacrificed in favor of more lucrative, last-minute rates. I received a generic cancellation email with no proper explanation or alternative accommodation offered. Scrambling to find another place on such short notice during a busy event weekend was incredibly stressful and expensive. I understand demand can surge during big events, but honoring confirmed reservations should be non-negotiable for any reputable hotel. This experience was both frustrating and disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend booking here if you value reliability.

Very handy for Manchester Picadilly station, we had a small but very nicely decorated room. There was inevitable traffic noise at night, but we weren’t kept awake by it and no rowdy people around. The shower cubicle could’ve been a bit cleaner and there was no hooks for coats, but I must say that the bedding was pristine. Breakfast is put out on the landing (you help yourself to cereals, fruit, toast and preserves) and take it back to your room to eat. It was absolutely fine for us. My friend and I would stay here again.

I flew in from Budapest to Manchester and met my friend there before heading home. We both booked this place because it’s so close to the station, which is exactly what we needed. The room is comfortable, and the breakfast is nice. It would be great if they could add soy milk or something, as I have a dairy allergy, but that morning we had to leave quickly, so I just grabbed some fruit, a water bottle, and other things for my trip. Overall, no complaints. The staff were lovely, and I had a pint here (£5 for a pint), but it’s fine, haha.

Perfect for what we needed! Situated across the road from Piccadilly station and shopping mall so ideal if traveling in by train! Close to a tram stop and close walk to the city circle. Room with bathroom was small but very clean and lovely decorated. All the staff we saw were lovely!! So helpful, accommodating and up for a laugh! Breakfast was simple but nice. Everything we needed was available. Made and taken back to our room! The pub doesn’t open until 12. So keep that in mind if arriving early and there are only steps to the rooms but we were offered to leave big bags downstairs if needed and the lovely staff helped carry them down for us when leaving! Pub is lovely, clean and English atmosphere! Beers were good!! Go there for a beer even if you’re not staying there!!!
