Lovely stay. Polana is always pleasant.

Maybe the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in when it comes to the exterior and sone of the interior... All very authentic. The room was comfertavle and breakfast was great, let alone the breakfast dinning area and setting. Service and care to details was very good but could be somewhat improved....

So very nice. Especially, staff is very kindness.

A hotel with the history of Polana and a 5-star rating must have the best-kept pool area. You should pay attention to the mosaic flooring, as some of it is broken, and in addition to showing that the facilities need maintenance, it is also dangerous. The cushions on the sun loungers need to be replaced, some are torn, some are stained, some have broken zippers and almost all of them have the sponge sticking out! Now this gives a sloppy look and not worthy of a 5 star hotel. They should also change the sun hats, some are broken and torn and others belong to a beer brand - Stella Artois!!! The meals are nice but very slow, we ended up waiting an hour for two soups and two sandwiches!

The service is extremely friendly and strives to please the customer, from reception to other areas (swimming pool, gardens, bar, restaurant, etc.). As for the rooms, if you have the opportunity, stay in a room with a sea view. They are spacious, with large balconies and have all the amenities that allow for a comfortable stay. Impeccably clean, good mattress, pillows, bathrobes and perfectly working minibar. The decoration of the rooms, as indeed of the entire hotel, is very pleasant, however, care must be taken not to neglect its modernization/maintenance with regard to small details (walls, shower glass, wood, etc.) . The breakfast is one of the most complete and quality (both in terms of offering, products and service) that we have experienced in Africa and, even, compared to many 5* European hotels. Good location within the city of Maputo, the hotel restaurant has a good menu, and there are several restaurants in the area with very good options.

The classic hotel overlooks Maputo Bay as soon as you open the door, and the sea breeze is very comfortable.

The hotel environment is very good and clean, with a sense of history. The front desk service is very enthusiastic. The surrounding area is relatively safe, and it is located next to several Nordic embassies. The breakfast is quite rich.
