Hotel Ristorante Borgo la Tana
"Wonderful find for a 3 star hotel -stayed for 4 nights. Although the decor might be a little dated by today's modern expectations, it was in very good order and the hotel was beautifully clean throughout. Lovely breakfast and good restaurant offering traditional Italian dishes. Beautiful swimming pool with lovely views. Free private parking. All staff very helpful, friendly, polite and professional. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this hotel. To appreciate the beautiful area you really need to have a car. If you are an avid tea/coffee drinker then take a travel kettle and some tea bags as these were not provided in our room; I think this is usual practice for southern Italy. "
La Locanda Delle Donne Monache
"I am just back from 4 nights at this hotel. We had an amazing time, the hotel was an old monastry, very unique with plenty place to sit and a great pool area to sit at, as the weather was fantastic. Fantastic views. There are a few steps heading down to the little down that had a few bars and eateries, We took a walk down to the port and back, it was lovely. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definately return and would highly reccommend."
Grand Hotel Pianeta Maratea Resort
"Kind and available but the place is too far from everything"
Santavenere Hotel
"A Timeless Gem in Maratea From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and instantly felt at home. The property is stunning—spacious, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. We especially loved the private rocky beach with crystal-clear turquoise water—a rare find. The hotel carries a vintage 50s–60s vibe but is well-updated for comfort. Though we didn’t get to use it this time, the tennis court was a nice bonus. Overall, a peaceful, elegant retreat that we can’t wait to return to. There was a small miscommunication about sunscreen availability at the beach club—we were charged ( 59 euro for the sunscreen) at checkout without prior notice- as we thought they provide sunscreen when we asked for it at the beach. ( lost in translation 😛) It didn’t affect our experience, but clearer communication would have been appreciated. Staff were lovely, warm, and helpful throughout. A true hidden gem—highly recommended for a relaxed, upscale getaway."
Hotel Martino
"This lovely hotel is located at Marina de Maratea 5 kms south of Maratea proper (and has a separate train station that many trains do. It stop at so check your train ticket!). The hotel does have a shuttle and they kindly picked us up from Maratea station. Rooms are very pleasant and in really good order. The restaurant onsite is excellent. Breakfasts were delightful as was the dinner we had there. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The hotel has a private beach, but there is a public one close by. Wifi in rooms can be weak at times but is strong up in the reception lounge. The hotel has a great indoor pool and bar area. All up if you opt to stay near the beach then this hotel at Marina de M is a fantastic option, we really enjoyed it."
Hotel Murmann
"We originally booked a last minute one night stay at Hotel Murmann and decided to stay longer as we had such a warm and friendly welcome.A really nice relaxed hotel with a lovely breakfast selection.Nothing was too much trouble and we will definitely be returning.Grazie Mille ….Antony Panter & Matilde Cozzolino ❤️🇮🇹"
B&b la Giara
Hotel Villa Delle Meraviglie
"Magical place! Just love it here. First time returning since our wedding here a few years ago and wish we had returned sooner. A paradise of peace with stunning views. Just a lovely spot with lovely pool, grounds and volcanic rock private beach - warm sea to swim in."
