"Super location but no hotel parking and parking nearby is really expensive. Hotel is fresh and modern throughout with an excellent bar service and a nice restaurant. Breakfast is a bit of a disappointment with poor quality machine coffee and a selection of food that’s not worthy of the €15 per person rate - there are much better and more cost effective options nearby the hotel, especially for coffee. The rooms are a little cooler than may be liked by some guests but reception can warm them if necessary. Overall a lovely hotel, well located and just short of perfect!"

"TRUE HOSPITALITY IS GIFTING GUESTS HAPPINESS… Huge thanks to MASSIMO for greatly enhancing our stay at the wonderful HOTEL MONARQUE EL RODEO, MARBELLA ! This large, immaculate, brilliantly located hotel has a fine ambassador in MASSIMO who greeted us on arrival with genuine warmth and assisted us by cheerfully offering us a choice of rooms, although this large and lovely hotel was nearly full to capacity. We opted for one of the huge corner rooms which boasted a great wrap around balcony, with sea views to front and mountain views to rear. We were more than happy to pay a small additional add-on fee for the luxury and pure delight this room swop offered. Thank you also to Antonio for good written communications in the run up to arrival. Only a handful of minutes to the beach in one direction and Orange Square the other, this hotel is a fantastic great value choice especially with staff who really want to make you happy! Delightful partially shaded rooftop pool with sunbeds not to be missed !"

"This hotel was excellent in every respect: the rooms, views, breakfast, staff, spa, and beach. The view from the hotel was amazing, so I recommend having a relaxing breakfast from the terrace looking out at the beach in front, and then enjoying the sunset and drinks at the rooftop bar in the evening. The staff were very friendly and could speak English, so I don't think communication would be an issue. I'd definitely come back to Marbella and use this hotel again."

"We are checking out l today, we were told there is no one at reception past 6pm and we are 2 girls travelling alone, we were not informed of this until Wednesday via message from the property, after we could cancel without a fee. Turns out there are no staff whatsoever in the building past 6pm, no porters, no security. Upon arriving they had a list of envelopes on the desk with all late check in full names on it. Went up to our room and the door was opened & left unlocked for anyone to access the room. Balcony does not lock and is on the first floor which could easily be climbed into. They took no passport or identification upon arrival, they took no details whatsoever I went down to a lady who was sitting at the reception to voice my concerns and was told “I’m not here, don’t talk to me I’m not here, talk to me tomorrow” when I said I had concerns for safety. When I tried to push my concerns she said “I’m not here, I want to go home” and refused to speak to us. She finally said 9am she will be at reception and I would find her there. This morning I have been downstairs to the reception multiple times and she is nowhere to be found. Hotel is in a little back street with no staff and the main door wide open to the public. This hotel is so unsafe, I have tried to contact reception but they don’t seem to work here. I have had no choice but to book another hotel with at least guaranteed overnight staff and a door that locks. This has ruined the start of our trip. I will not be returning here and I am shocked at how rude the staff were when I mentioned a safety concern. 2 small towels left in a room for 2 people No extra pillows and if you wanted one there’s no staff in the building anyways."

"Avoid this place at all costs!!! The place may be in a good area but the place is absolutely disgusting!!!! We found the mattress reversed to hide the horror of pee and blood stained all over the mattress. We refused to stay here and the put us up in a different place called SL Hostal but it was at the top floor of what appeared to be a renovation in progress. The high voltage electrical panel was exposed and the place acted like a sound cave or tunnel hearing anyone else in the place. As all others were booked and they refused to answer as to a refund, we were forced to stay here. Please, do not stay here at all! We have traveled the word and this honestly was a horrible experience."

"We stayed at Westin La Quinta during our 4 days golf visit to Marbella. We booked as a group of golfers and everything was organized around such event. It was generally ok though I would say that the quality - price ratio is really not the a very good one. Hotel is clean though the facilities, finishings and the design is more or less basic. Tiles on the floor in the rooms, regular to cheap furniture, poor finishings in the bathrooms. The personnel and services were all good but this is what you expect from such a place."

"The location was a bit out which we knew but the shops and restaurants were within easy walking distance. There was free transport to the beach and transport to Marbella Town for only 4 Euros each . The staff were always friendly from reception, restaurant, bar and cleaners. The animation team were really hard working. Lots of games for both adults and children. The shows they put on were a lot of fun. The food was varied, fresh and good. Our room was large and airy with comfortable beds. The place was clean although the public lounge areas could do with a refurb as they are a bit tired."

"We recently returned from a week's stay at this property, having used it several times over the past 10 years. It is in an excellent position 5 mins walk to waterfront, and less than 10 to many bars and restaurants . The rooms are well equipped and have large balconies, they are a little dated, but are kept very clean. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. We had a meal at the attached Palmyra restaurant one evening, and the food was excellent, although it was very quiet, and lacking a bit of atmosphere at this time of year. We look forward to our next visit to this aparthotel."
