Apollo Bay Seal Apartments

We are a family of 8, and we rented the entire unit, both downstairs and upstairs, for our stay. The weather was cold during our visit, but the beds were equipped with heaters, which made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. Each floor has its own bathroom and kitchen, which was incredibly convenient for our large group. The bathrooms came with basic toiletries, although there was no toothpaste provided, so be sure to bring your own. The kitchens were well-equipped and functional, with simple seasonings like salt and pepper. We brought our own cooking oil, but everything else was perfect for preparing warm meals for dinner and breakfast. The homestay is located in Marengo. One thing to note is that there are no supermarkets in Marengo itself, but Apollo Bay is just a few minutes' drive away. We recommend stocking up on groceries there before arriving if you plan to cook during your stay. Parking was more than sufficient for our Kia Carnival 8-seater, so we had no trouble with that. The area is wonderfully quiet, making it perfect for a relaxing, peaceful getaway. We had a truly pleasant stay here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious and comfortable place to stay.

The 4BR house is actually 2 x 2BR upstairs and downstairs units with the partition door opened up. So we did end up with 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms :) Overall a comfortable night’s stay. Just bear in mind that the driveway and parking is tight for an MPV (kia carnival) and that it’s not in Apollo Bay but in Marengo. Not a big issue unless you had planned to have easy access to walk around Apollo Bay shopping, dining and beach precincts.

Wow, what a nice place! We are just sorry we booked only one night. Complimentary laundry - with a washing machine IN the apartment and a shared dryer! - was a bonus, and the rooms, living, room, kitchen, and deck were very spacious. The walk to Marengo Beach wasn’t too bad along the busy road but be careful with little ones. It’s not a swimming beach but still had a great time getting our ankles wet; you need a car to get to Apollo Bay.

The host was nice and contactable, the location was a bit difficult to locate at night due to no street light. The apartment is big and overall clean.

We stayed for a night here during our trip to great ocean road. Room is clean, with all the things we need. Recommended!
