"Reception staff helpful, moved us into room with bath as requested. Room was large, with coffee machine, but bit dusty, would have preferred a regular TV not Internet one, and woken by noise outside the room in the morning. Bed was hard, and two singles joined together is not that comfy. Neither of us slept well unfortunately. Free parking was good. Would have liked to try the pool and hot tub and gym but only stayed one night and ran out of time. Handy for travel to Gatwick Airport. Value for money."

"The location was very satisfactory, very close to the beach, and the staff were friendly. However, due to ongoing renovations, the elevator was not yet available, and the bathroom locks could not be fully closed, causing some inconvenience. Overall, the price was very cheap and acceptable."

"The Buxted Inn was our end destination after a tiring day long hike. We were warmly greeted both on our arrival and at breakfast, whilst staff were also kind enough to lend us a plug, which we had forgotten to pack. Our boots were wet and muddy, and we weren't confident we'd be able to get these dry for the following days' hike, but a very good radiator in the room, which could be adjusted easily, plus some portable radiators in the communal hallway, enabled us to more or less fully dry out our boots. This was a big win for us, as it would have made the following day rather uncomfortable otherwise! The electric shower had a control panel which made it easy to adjust the temperature, which was pleasantly hot. The only downsides were that the bed and pillows seemed rather soft, but this may suit others, so not something I will dwell on. The room had an outside balcony area, but the door to it was locked, so wasn't sure if this could be used, but on a cold February night, we weren't looking to use it anyway! Our breakfast was freshly prepared and enjoyable. For £90, I felt this was really good value, also being a short walk from the train station, or 20 minutes walk from the Vanguards Way walking trail."
