Beautiful location, helpful staff, great restaurant. This was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my bicycle trip down the Danube. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was delicious and lovely, located in a grove of chestnut trees. I would definitely stay here again, given the opportunity.

Wish we had had one more day - we stopped here overnight on a bike trip and it was such a wonderful surprise! The pool on the 5th floor and the spa were unbelievable, with beds, views, swings, various rooms (sauna, red light, steam room, etc.) and and incredible indoor-outdoor pool with views in every direction. To think I almost didn’t go up to the pool! I could have spent at least another day here just taking a break from the go-go-go. If I were to book this trip again, I would request an extra night here.

Our family stayed overnight at Hotel Schachner during our bike trip along the Danube. Although we felt a little out of place in this elegant hotel we enjoyed our stay here. Luckily the hotel has a bike shuttle that will pick you up at the bottom of the hill-- otherwise we would not have made it!!! Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and quiet. We had a nice view of the church spires and the family of kestrels that were roosting there. We did not eat dinner at the hotel since they had only one, overpriced vegetarian option. Instead we ate at the nearby Hotel Rose, which had an amazing "Asia bowl" and stunning terrace views. However, the breakfast was excellent, with every option anyone could want-- honey dripping from the honeycomb, a juice bar where you can make your own fresh juices, all types of milks, desserts... It was the most impressive buffet we had during our travels through Austria. Maria Taferl is a cute little village high on a hill with 360° views. We enjoyed exploring the church and grounds in the evening when most tourists were gone. The views are amazing and you feel transported to a different time and place staying here.

It's always nice to come to the Hotel Schachner! I enjoy the family atmosphere, the beautiful spa area with a fantastic view, the wonderful breakfast buffet and the excellent evening menu!

Tolle Aussicht, nettes Personal, gutes Essen , durch die Day Spa Gäste war Restaurant und Spa leider überladen dazu kommt Seminarbetrieb. Parkplätze eher knapp. Highlight ist sicher der Spa Bereich und die Skybar. Es gibt beim Abendessen ausreichend Auswahl. Preis / Leistung passt für mich aber nicht. 1000.- für 2 Nächte mit Aussicht ist überzogen

Dayspa mit Frühstück - eine tolles Geschenk! Reichhaltiges Frühstück ab 7:00 mit frisch zubereiteten Eigerichten, knusprigem Gebäck und prickelnden Getränken. Alles dabei von süß bis herzhaft. Zum Spa:,modern und optisch ansprechend gestaltet. Infinitypool mit Blick auf die Donau sowie die Basilika Maria Taferl. Wasser um 1-2 Grad wärmer und es wäre perfekt. Toller Saunabereich, chillige Liegen, Erfrischungen, super Skylounge mit leckeren Speisen und aufmerksamen Service. Bademäntel und Badetücher dabei. Alles in allem ein großartiger und entspannter Tag.

Das Panorama, der Ausblick, ist wirklich atemberaubend und - zugegeben - hatten wir auch mit dem Wetter großes Glück. Der Spabereich wirkt relativ neu und ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Wasser im Schwimmbecken leider eine Spur zu kühl. Enttäuscht waren wir, dass er Saunabereich so spät öffnet. Als wir aber einen Blick am Vormittag hinein warfen, waren bereits Gäste da und es wurde schon aufgeheizt. So spät öffnen und ein Wellness-Hotel sein - das ginge für uns auch nicht zusammen. Da wurde anscheinend zum Glück umgedacht. Der Aufzug, der direkt zum Restaurant führt, ist ein wenig unheimlich (Ruckeln und Rumsen inklusive) und hinter den Vorhang, den ich auf einem Gang gesehen habe, waren Kabel etc. Ich nehme an, das wird in Kürze behoben. Jedenfalls wünsche ich dem Haus so keine Inspektion... An der Qualität der Speisen und am Service war nichts zu mäkeln. Alles hochwertig und sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Wenn man auf das Zimmerservice verzichtet, kann man ein kleines Sackerl vor die Tür hängen und bekommt eine Aufmerksamkeit. Das fand vor allem mein (neugieriger) Mann spannend und hat es ausprobiert. Leider "nur" ein kleines Packerl Manner-Schnitten. Wir hatten mit etwas Regionalem (kleine Marmelade etc.) gerechnet. Aber das ist wirklich Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Uns hat es gefallen!

tolles, großzügig gebautes Hotel, einzigartiges Frühstück und sehr gutes Abendmenu, sehr nette Mitarbeiter, Ausgangspunkt für schöne Wanderungen ohne ein Auto zu brauchen, großzügiger SPA-Bereich mit herrlicher Aussicht auf das Donautal.
