I may be the odd woman out here but the bed was HORRIBLE. We stayed in room 111 and had a beautiful view of the lawn and forest but the bed slumped down in the middle and was so hard I couldn't sleep in it and slept on the COUCH. I've traveled and done a lot of camping as well, which has never happened before. My husband stayed in bed and woke up with a sore shoulder for the next two days. I want a refund due to this couch sleeping situation. Sigh... I didn't say anything when we checked out because one girl was working breakfast and the front desk and was super frantic. It is unfortunate that this sleeping situation was so bad because the rest of the visit was great! Peter, the front desk guy was kind and helpful in arranging our train ride, taxi, and other items we needed help with. He went above and beyond to help. I like to give fair reviews and pride myself on this. I know we aren't Danish and the Danish sleep system is far different from the way we sleep in the USA but gee whiz, you Danes must be much tougher than we are. That bed was terrible. On the bright side, the fjord is within walking distance and the area in the front lobby has games. Make sure to order ahead of time for dinner and you can get cheese and bread to snack on while waiting for dinner. I want to love this hotel but if I come back to Hobro I won't stay here due to the bed alone. There was a trip hazard in the room as well from the bedroom to the bathroom. We put a towel down so that we saw it every time. Dinner in the dining room was overpriced and not that great. We had just come from Iceland and while their food is incredibly expensive it is top-notch in Flavortown. Anyway, fix the beds and you will have a great stay. Otherwise, perhaps stay somewhere else. But do visit Peter. He is friendly. I've given this property a 4/5 but it is mostly due to Peter. Otherwise, it would be a Two.
