The setting alone is breathtaking — right at the base of the ski slope, with stunning mountain views and immediate access to the outdoors. The location truly couldn’t be better. The hotel itself is gorgeous — beautifully designed, warm, and welcoming. The beds were incredibly comfortable (some of the best sleep we’ve had while traveling!), and every space felt thoughtfully curated and peaceful. What made the stay even more special was the staff. Everyone we encountered was genuinely kind, attentive, and eager to help. You feel cared for the moment you arrive. And the food — truly delicious. Every meal felt fresh, beautifully prepared, and satisfying. It elevated the entire experience. The front desk staff even took a special trip to town to get postcards for my daughter. Just above and beyond in every way. Also, the spa is beautiful and the massages are great and affordable. If you’re looking for a place that combines natural beauty, comfort, warmth, and excellent cuisine, Hotel Arena is a gem. We left feeling restored and already planning our return. Highly, highly recommend."

"Located in the historical heart of Slovenia's second city, the Hotel Maribor offers up-do-date accommodations while still preserving a certain old-world charm. Our room was not in the hotel proper, but in the lovely garden apartment addition located a block away, closer to the lively riverfront Lent district, and easily ranked as the best accommodation we found in Slovenia. Ample work space, a restful bed, and a lovely exterior patio perfect for morning reflection and an afternoon drink. The staff is supremely accommodating, and the breakfast buffet (with optional omelettes) suffices, though even more satisfying options can be found a few paces away."

"The apartment is located in the old town, close to the world's oldest vines, and the surrounding scenery is charming. There are local wine shops, supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The apartment itself is in a 19th century building, retro. The rooms inside have been modernized and very comfortable. The furniture is pure solid wood and has no smell; the air conditioning and bathroom are international brands; the mattress is particularly comfortable and sleeps very well. The structure of one bedroom and one living room, with a kitchen, and a public free washing machine, is much more comprehensive than the general hotel facilities."
