“Grace of Africa Safari- made the entire Safari planning process smooth and stress-free. This was a superb safari! Beautifully crafted, taking us through the long history of the Kruger National Park and covering so much ground. The accommodation was wonderful, and the food/wine experiences were truly memorable. The guides were exceptional and provided experiences beyond our expectations". We had a wonderful time and appreciate all the efforts done during our stay. We booked a 17-day safari through African Safari Guru, owned and operated by Matthew Grace, who also owns The Grace of Africa lodge. After months of planning and multiple payments totaling more than USD $26,000, our safari was suddenly cancelled by Mr. Grace just 19 days before departure. Despite cancelling the entire trip, including multiple lodges and flights, Mr. Grace kept a large portion of our funds. The only part of the itinerary he claimed was still “confirmed” was a 2-night stay at The Grace of Africa, the lodge he and his wife personally own — effectively ensuring that at least some of our money flowed into his own property while the rest of our safari was cancelled. We received only a small fraction of our money back ($2547 US), leaving us with a devastating financial loss. When challenged, Mr. Grace acknowledged in writing that he could not refund most of the payments because the money was already gone. Yet, at the same time, he continues to market both African Safari Guru and The Grace of Africa to new clients. Although this review is listed under The Grace of Africa, it is essential for travellers to know that both businesses are run by the same individual. Our experience makes it clear that booking with either comes with significant financial risk. We are deeply disappointed and share this review to ensure others are fully informed before booking with African Safari Guru or The Grace of Africa.

Matthew Grace (owner / operator of "Grace of Africa" accommodation in Marloth Park (next to Kruger National Park), and Tour owner / operator of "African Safari Guru", came highly recommended by friends and exceeded our expectations. "Grace of Africa" accommodation was outstanding. The luxury units (located near Kruger National Park) were clean, comfortable and so well presented with traditional African decor and interiors. The staff (Isaac, Michael, Lindiwe and Wayne), were the highlight of our trip. Their attention to detail, customer service and hospitality were impeccable. The meals were superb and offered a selection of traditional African cuisine. We are very happy to recommend Matthew & Nicolette Grace's "Grace of Africa".

Everything was flawless from start to finish. The team is incredibly attentive and caring. The food is excellent, and the breakfast is unbelievably generous. The rooms are cozy, beautifully decorated, and perfect for relaxing. I 100% recommend Grace of Africa!

From the amazing welcome from Isaac when we arrived, to the accommodation and the awesome food prepared by Lindiwe we could not have asked for more. We left there totally relaxed.

The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Matt was super helpful and the accommodation and tours were out of this world - the food was especially good (thanks chef) and the whole team could not do enough for us. We had been wanting to do Safari in RSA for some time and this trip did not disappoint! We are a family of four (2 x kids 11 and 14) and everyone had the time of their life. We would highly recommend!
